I think it has a bit of a red alert 3 rising sun feel to it myself.
Maybe, but:
1. This track was made long before the appearance of RA3;
2. Choral singing more Slavic than Asian.
Additional, in the campaign should have been given great importance to Japan (https://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/14/13527/Allied_Promo_2.0.1.jpg for example).
I think he meant to say it sounds out of place with the rest of YR tracks.
It's a good track, though.
But Reborn has new soundtrack and among the new tracks - this track don't sounds out of place.
