The Classic Doom 3 modification is a remake of the original 1993 Doom game, by id Software, in Doom 3. The main emphesis is that of brining the older game up to date in a modern graphics engine. The project makes use of all of Doom 3's advanced graphical features while retaining the atmosphere of the original game. This mod only works with the original retail release of Doom 3, patched to version 1.3.1. This mod does not currently work with the Doom 3 BFG Edition. Some BFG source ports are available that reportedly work with this mod, but are untested. The project is complete, and only includes the shareware levels.

I'm not finding a CDoom.exe after installing it. I have the BFG edition for Steam, would that be the problem?
can this mod work for doom 3: BFG edition on steam?
Guys, this mod uses the OLD DOOM 3 (2004) BFG uses a different engine, so it can't run on that version.
Do you need to buy doom 3 then download this mod/game
i have the original 2004 doom 3 and it errors saying wrong api.dll version

Original Doom 3 patched to 1.3.1
Classic Doom 3 mod version 1.3.1
Same version numbers to help ensure people use the right versions.

Man I just dusted the dust of my doom 3 discs' updated it to Redux version
then added phobos the best doom 3 mod ever! And then this beauty, What a classic. Thank you. Dont worry I've got the BFG's too Xbox and pc.
