Call of The Zone is a standalone modification for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Call of Pripyat that allows you to explore the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone – a desolate and highly contaminated region of Ukraine that has been abandoned and closed off for decades ever since the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. What has been going on in this irradiated wasteland since then? There are no shortage of rumors and conspiracy theories, each more fantastic than the last. Rumors of mutated wildlife, brainwashed cults, secret experiments, and unexplainable paranormal events abound, as do promises of great riches and wildest dreams coming true for those who are daring or desperate enough to try to break through the cordon. You are about to find out for yourself what is true and what is yet undiscovered, and experience for yourself all the Zone has to offer... or to take from you.

I don't think this is normal, but any time I'm playing CotZ with the console up, VERIFY_FAILED messages are coming constantly, thousands (not kidding) like these:

! VERIFY_FAILED: e:\stalker\x-ray source\x-ray_callofchernobyl\src\xrcore\FS.h[291] {IReader::advance} (Pos <= Size) && (Pos >= 0)
! VERIFY_FAILED: e:\stalker\x-ray source\x-ray_callofchernobyl\src\xrcore\FS.h[291] {IReader::advance} (Pos <= Size) && (Pos >= 0)
! VERIFY_FAILED: e:\stalker\x-ray source\x-ray_callofchernobyl\src\xrcore\FS.h[291] {IReader::advance} (Pos <= Size) && (Pos >= 0)

There are a ton more looking for different files, and I don't have an e: drive (never have) or a standalone "stalker" folder either

I'm playing with Rhons' awesome Repack mod currently, however I've tried fully deleting my CotZ install and registry entries as well, reinstalling, and getting the same even on a new vanilla CotZ installation.

I hope the above makes sense, I don't want to post my entire gigantic error log here and take up thousands of lines with it. As far as I can tell, the game itself actually runs just fine, and it doesn't seem to be affecting stability or performance at all. It's just... weird. Especially since I don't remember ever seeing this before, and it's still there after a full delete/registry delete/reinstall. They're only noticeable with the console pulled up, but are literally almost constant.

Anyone have any idea what this might be?

If I recall the error logs, this is completely normal as CotZ is and will remain an unfinished game. DoctorX never got the chance to address these issues, although they are not game-breaking for the most part.

Thank you Rhons, figured it might just be something I'd never noticed before, as it runs fine anyway!
