Description

Time for an update ! While I expected things to slow down following september's update, the last two months saw a lot of great progress instead.

300+ assets have been created or updated since september, with a particular emphasis on creating high-resolution replacements for objects that are commonly shared between levels. With Redux having been focused on Doom 3's default shading and color grading since 2.0RC, attention has also been paid to Wulfen's texture sets, which were originally drawn with Sikkmod's shader suite in mind. It mostly meant redoing the specular maps while leaving the rest intact, although in some cases the entire set had to be redrawn.

With so much work being done these last few months (including additional UI and UX updates as well as fixes for minor vanilla issues) and the first half of the year coming to an end, however, the amount of free time available for Redux in the coming weeks will be quite thin. This seems like a good opportuniy to slow things down and prepare the 2.1 release as well a taking some time to cover all of the changes in proper details, as the completely outdated description and vague updates have so far done a poor joob of representing the current state of the mod.

A december release seems extremely unlikely at this point, but I have better hopes for either january or february.
