Firearms: Source is a team based first person shooter, rooted in the traditions of the Firearms mod for Half-Life. Gotta love those WWII weapons.
M14 isn't a WWII weapon, it entered service in 1959.
True but its still retains that older WW2 era style to it I guess its a legitimate mistake for regular people to make not everyone is a gun nut like we are :P

I have mistaken the M14 for the WWII M1 Garand rifle.
Now that you've said it I think I wouldn't oppose adding M1 as well, with its clip-as-whole loading system and awesome clacking sound of empty cartridge ejection.

One of my most favorite guns. Can't wait to use iron sights on it.

If you look at the bottom, you can see the detachable box magazine, so it is an M14
