Indeed - amazing work.. This is incredible.. Looks actually more like some sort of missile complex. Let me guess below the Black Mesa Logo is actually a hidden missile launch tube. :P
Anyway Once again some pre cascade scenario it seems. Your Pre accident chapter must be huge. I'm looking forward to explore more of Black Mesa during peace times.
The pre accident areas ended up being longer than I expected - but it is still fairly quick, around five maps. Perhaps like the beginning of Half-Life but on foot.
27 maps now :) Although, some are short - some transitory. Some levels that are high on scripted elements and entities are smaller self contained areas.
I would like to say I have 4-5 more maps left to go. Some of these will be very quick to make as they are the same location in a different state of affairs....
I hate making any kind of tangible release date announcement but I believe a few months should be all the time I need now. I am going to be in a situation where I can't continue this for a while so I am making a push to get it done!
You have, and I have looked! Unfortunately I do not like any of them - the Nightwatch ones feel too high up, low poly, and too "close" to the level if that makes sense, and I just don't like the aesthetic of the "HD" ones floating around.
I have the time of day changing throughout the mod and based the light on the good old skyboxes. Furthermore, I need the surroundings to be the same at different times of the day. Most of my levels don't get as much of a view of the skybox like this screenshot, the player can't get up this high! You do get a good view of the cliff skybox, but I still love the detail on that one. If you have any recommendations I may not have seen, go ahead!
Sorry for my vocabulary, but HOLY ****!

A few more MONTHS??

How many maps you got up your sleeve so far? I believe at last count you had 17 or so :)

Realistic, real-life design? Check.

Ah, totally understand you. Make your push but don't worry! Even if you won't get it done in time, we'll still be here waiting ;) .
Good luck!
Oh my god, look what you did to the goldsource engine! You made it look good, how dare you!!!
Oh this is...

*drooling*
fantastic work, mr. gnang!
Have I bugged you in the past to look for custom skyboxes? If not I'm doing it now. :)
Great looking scene by the way!

Fair enough. Yeah, I don't know of a 'set' of skies outside the ones I probably already mentioned to you.
Tell you what, I will give the HD ones another go and see - it was a few years ago I decided against them. Perhaps it is different now :)
damn....that's amazing!...im glad to see that you still work on it
On and off on and off on and off for far too many years.
Just for another mod set in Black Mesa haha :)
