Prequel for Half-Life
Mod allows to look and take part at the events before Half-Life. You assume the role of Dr. Gordon Freeman. You will meet Kleiner, Vance, Barney, Rosenberg and other characters.

Hi everyone. One year after the previous release we present you a small QoL update to Half-Life: Induction.
Changelog:
- Added one more achievement and some new Easter Eggs related to it.
- Fixed some Kleiner's sentences cutting off a bit in the end in the chapter "Registration".
- The mod icon is shown on the desktop's taskbar now instead of the default Half-Life icon.
- Fixed some misaligned textures. Fixed some bugs.
- Added more details on some levels.
- Added clock sounds. Added soda drink sound. Updated the doughnut model. Thanks to XF-Alien for provided resources.
- A special crosshair is shown in the chapter "Hard Work" during the crystal test sequence, to help players press buttons more accurately.
- The cl_viewroll cvar is removed. Use non-zero cl_rollangle value instead if you want to enable the view roll.
With this update we also publish both game source code and map source files for the community.
The Induction game source code is based on Half-Life Featureful project and it's released as a branch on github repository. You're free to use it in your projects, e.g. if you want to port the subtitles system or achievements implementation to your mod.
The Induction map sources are released on moddb. You can use them in your own Half-Life related projects. We expect you to give proper credit to the Hazard Team in this case.

Honestly I've always wanted to see a pre-disaster half-life mod, and I think this mod does a good job at that. Also I loved the guy on the phone.

how do i instal this?
download winrar, it's free. then download the mod file. when it's finished click the downloaded file and extract it to your downloads folder or something. go to your downloads folder and click the now un-zipped file. you might need to click it twice. once you click it and it brings you to the contents of the file, click back and place that induction folder into your steam/steamapps/common/half life folder, or wherever half life is installed on your computer. restart steam and it will appear in your library.
What's up, Xash does compatible with this mod and feels amazing but I wonder how many achievement about this mods has and I haven't discovered yet so there ya go.
This is a really fun experience, I hope to find more mods like this :-)

The 25 Anniversary update has crashed this mod
For now, you can either select the "steam legacy" beta in the Half-Life Beta tab on Steam, or delete/rename "TrackerScheme.res" in the "resource" folder
I've just updated the upload. It should be compatible with both new release and steam_legacy one.
I've replayed this mod again, new version, and have to say it is good! Recommend for people who love short non-battle-centric single-player games. One unfortunate things is that you get level changes unexpectedly before you have a chance to explore all corners.
