Every time a start a battle and it loads in the game crashes
Is your Homeworld 2 updated to patch 1.1?
Yes,This is the first and only mod i cant get to work
When i start a match it will load completely then crash a few seconds after the game actually starts.
What are you playing and who are you playing as?
I tried playing every game mode but the Old maps one
And i only tried playing as UNSC
Try a covenant only game and see if that works.

I'd recommend re-downloading, might be a corrupt download.

You have to make sure player two has a race selected. The Hiigaran and Vaygr are no longer in the mod so if player 2 was one of those before hand, it will crash the game.
I would recommend setting up a mirror.

Two of my most highly anticipated mods releasing on the same day, what are the chances. :)
Sounds are a bit weird. Cant hear any covenant weapons firing, but I can hear them hitting.
The assault carrier also gets labeled as a CSO-Assault Carrier instead of CAS when built.
Sounds are currently being looked at and worked on. They'll be in the next version.
As for the text mistake, thank you for pointing that out, it was a copy and paste mistake.
Can kinda hear sounds when you zoom in really close, but its hit and miss. Its not the end of the world though.
they a problem with firefight when you choice the pillar of autumn "On" and you only can build the scout fighter and unity like probe, miners please notice this message and fix it
Thats because ships require subsystems now. The Halcyon doesn't have any subsystem slots so for the Autumn I guess I'll have to add some fake ones in. Sorry, it totally slipped my mind.
My game is running fine although after a while the ships start to get all disfigured and weird. I have a feeling it is due to graphical errors with my computer although this has never happened before with any other homeworld mod I have. Is there a way to fix it?

What are your system specs/how old is your computer? Also can you please take and upload a screenshot of your issue?
Getting the same thing, by round 5 in firefight or after half an hour of normal skirmish the ship models go low poly.

Same thing but in my case this happens in first seconds of the game, models switch to some disfigured versions without major parts of textures. I work on Intel i5 2,6GHz, GT 630, 8 GB of RAM and Win 8,1...
Edit: Try switching Geometry scaling off.
Did switching geometry scaling off help you out?
Turning geometry scaling off fixed it
Awesome. There's a similar issue with the normal map overlays where they may appear white, but if you switch shadows off they appear just fine. Homeworld 2 is weird sometimes.

Whenever I try to play the game loads fine but then the textures all degrade and the shapes become weird and lose colour becoming a whitish grey with disfigured parts.
And my AI opponent always just builds resource collectors and refinery's even an hour into the game. Any advice on what is happening ???
If you put it on Expert they build a lot of resource collectors and refineries but after a while they will start to pump out hundreds of ships. It sucks but you have to wait it out before they start attacking. Also yeah I see we both have the graphical problems here :( I wanted to do a little machinima of the battle of Earth with all the new models the UNSC have and with the addition of the Covi's but this is a significant problem.
I have a problem with the map of radar, turning the camera slows the game, but out of the radar returns to normal.
My computer has windows 8 and that could generate incompatibility with certain older games, but I only have the problem with this mod, not the game itself.
On which maps does this happen?
apparently the problem is when I build many ships, but do not have that problem with sins of a Solar Empire. I've had similar problems with older games.
Well sins of a solar empire doesn't use levels of detail like homeworld 2. Are you playing on max population?
yes, but is curious how I had never had this error with other rts.
Because Homefront uses more polies than most mods for Homeworld 2, many ships can cause lag. Max Population is only for people who can take the punishment, Medium Population is how Homefront is supposed to be played.
But as discovered above, try turning geometry scaling off.
Could you guys leave the original races in play? At least for Firefight? I do like my capital ships fighting the original races, 100 v 20 makes for really interesting and cinematic Firefights.
This is a total conversion mod. Moving forward with the Covenant, the vanilla races will not be a part of the mod. Unfortunately, the vanilla races would not function properly anyways since I had to modify a few to work with the tutorial missions.
