Total Conversion for Oblivion: "Nehrim - At Fate's Edge" is a finished Total Conversion for the RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. That means it is a self-contained game that bases upon the Oblivion game engine, but has no relation to Oblivion's lore. It is a world in which neither Tamriel nor any other TES based name exists. The continent itself on which the game is situated is called Nehrim, it is completely independent from the base game. Nehrim was developed by the Sureai Team (www.sureai.de). We have already created two Total Conversions for Morrowind, named Arktwend and Myar Aranath, but unfortunately there never was an English version of them. This time, however, we will develop an English version of the project with translated texts and German voice acting.

This is the official English version of "Nehrim - At Fate's Edge". Please consider the installation instructions in the ReadMe file, especially if you have the Steam version of Oblivion.

hey, you have any trouble, when you downloaded Nehrim with corrupted install files. that's what I get when I downloaded from mirror sites 9 and 10 and tried to install it.

game was pretty awsome with the sub only wish it were voiced too
it is. but in german,.. launch the nehrim launcher then click settings on he right corner you will c an option saying hardware or software refurring to the audio voices testit out it will work.

It sounds like it won't, but if you have mods in your Oblivion folder, will it affect the installation of Nehrim At fate's Edge?
Unless you have loads of landmass mods, you should be fine.
I'm going back to Oblivion just for this mod! Sure hope the 3-4 something year wait was worth it! Oh heck yes! Only 20 minutes to download! :DDD

This game is more computationally demanding than Oblivion because it is more detailed, with far more objects in most or all areas. If you are patient, someone will surely get performance-related mods for Oblivion to work with Nehrim, and all shall be well again.

Ugh, I was looking forward to this, but I didn't realise it would be subtitles only.
For the big delay between the german and this release, I expected something more. :/
They were telling people this from the beginning, that they were only going to translate the text. You didn't have to dig very far to find that out. Think of it like watching a foreign film, except, it's a game.
There is nothing wrong with reading.Get used to it.
As long as it doesn't have horrible grammar/spelling (I'm pretty sure the long wait was to avoid this), I don't see a problem with subtitles. It let's you make up how different people sound in your mind :)
GOOD! I'm glad that it's been subbed as dubbed games and movies dredge up the worst voice actors around!
Just imagine the delay if they had to re-record the voices, it would be a rush-job full of incompetent idiots who couldn't act to save their lives.

SWEET! Love the English subtitles with German voice-acting. It gives the game a sophisticated "foreign import" feel. :D
"Das Boot" isn't as good a movie with ****** English over-dubs. Give me the authentic German speech with English subtites any day!
I fully agree! Plus a medieval setting with authentic European voices to set a truly immersive atmosphere, that a failed American dub-job would destroy! (Gothic series comes to mind!)

Having the same problem as Captain-Arse. Clicking, start new game > Yes, just returns me to the main menu?
Start the Nehrim Launcher and select the data files with clicking "Data Files"
Then select: Nehrim.esm, NehrimData.esm and NehrimEnglish.esm.
Then click "Start Nehrim"
