NEOTOKYO° is a first person shooter that aims to provide a visceral & realistic combat experience in a rich futuristic setting. NEOTOKYO° takes place in and around a fictionalized Tokyo approximately 30 years in the future. Mankind has begun to fuse with technology. Government and corporate corruption have transformed Tokyo into a deadly dystopian nightmare. After a near-successful military coup by ranking members of Jinrai, the National Security Force (NSF) is formed - answering directly to the Prime Minister, it's mission is to investigate and eliminate all threats to Japan, both abroad and at home. The initial core of the NSF is made from an exodus from within the intelligence branch of the military. With this betrayal begins the war in the shadows between the NSF and Jinrai.

NEOTOKYO° Client Patch 10.23.2009 Is now available. Included are tweaks and bug fixes as well as 7 new maps plus an updated version of Dawn that is Nightvision friendly and appropriately titled "Dusk"

I remember the day this was due to come out, people were going mad, it was downloading so slow I had to wait a day, I remember it being VERY laggy on my system, a Core 2 Duo / 2GB Memory / 3850, now I have a 4870, i5, 4GB Memory, so it should be much better, since source games rely heavily on CPU/Memory.
Very, very good work guys, I'm glad it's as popular as it is, even if it isn't as much as it was when it first came out.

It is over one year since this mod was released and just one patch so far? this game is far from perfect. yet.
any new update/patch in the works?
For those pplz that download this game, and play it for 1st time, give it a longer try, I've seen the last week 3 diferents guys that plays it for 1st time, and get killed by someone and they say: "this game is weird crappy" they just dont understand how the game works, the rules, thats the fun stuff, the magic of the game, I recommend visit neotokyoHQ !!!!

all right guys, for those of you who can't play the game because Steam doesn't recognize it, it's because you're downloading the patch first instead of the client.
just scroll down a bit to find the original client, download and install that first, then do the same with the patch
