i have played Dystopia it was all there but just it did not feel right it just felt like something was missing and is Orion like halo 1 with a dash of metriod and a pinch of time splitters to me
But Halo is one of the most over-rated and junky FPS's ever made, it was only redeemed to due it's Vehicle gameplay which was fun, but everything else about it was horrible, including it's obvious rip-off of Half-Life story.
Halo's story isn't related to Half-Life's story whatsoever.
aye, it is very VERY different. but that being cast aside, that is console, and this here is PC gaming.

Well actually, wasn't the first halo book written AFTER the first halo game, as an addition to the halo universe? And half-life 1 came out before halo 1, soo.. Don't take this the wrong way, i like both franchises, but your statement just seems..factually wrong. Or are you talking about that halo bible thing bungie/microsoft has. If so, that doesn't mean anything as halo's reveal to the public came with its first game.
Book was written after the first game, after HL. I refuse to enter the Halo vs. Half-Life debate here. I will only say that Halo was fine, but Half-Life was better for various reasons. By the way, Halo is definitely not a ripoff of Half-Life, and phil44 was right that the first book came out after Halo 1, which came out after Half-Life.

Nope, they're both good, and the stories aren't remotely similar. There is absolutely no comparison. I enjoy them both for different reasons.

It means you need one of the games featured in the Orange Box (I.E: Portal, HL2, or TF2). As long as you have one of those, you can run this - you don't need all 3.

To just say a little something though... It's been in development for 9 years, honestly if I were you guys I would've settled with UT3 for Unreal 3 or something.
I just find Source restricts most of it's games and mods to looking like Half-Life 2.
9 years = working with the idea / making 3-4 prototypes of the game.
What you are about to play is about a years worth of work.
However, my next game will be on UDK.
I want Orion on Source though.

Is orion getting steamworks support?
We are not going to be really approaching that until around Beta 2.0 or Beta 3.0.
However, around Patch 2 we will be emailing Valve to hopefully get a Steam News release - to get a lot more players to fill the servers.

Any Source game made by Valve - all you need is the Source SDK Base - Orange Box which comes with ANY Valve game.
