Hello, and - again - welcome to the Aperture Science Computer-aided Enrichment Center

Under normal circumstances, a warm introduction like that would be a welcoming sign. There are just two small problems:

1. You don't know where you are, and

2. That was clearly the voice of a machine just now.

Coming to, you find no signs of human life, outside of a dimly lit room filled with old paper scraps and messy tables collecting dust. A large room filled with scattered chairs is affixed to the wall behind you, illuminating the glass box you find yourself trapped in with a cool, fluorescent blue light.

You are Quinton

Officially designated as test Subject 122-7605, according to the tattoo on your right arm. You're balding, you have a headache, and... oh yeah, you're pretty sure the facility you're trapped in is trying to kill you. Things really couldn't be much worse. You have two options: You could either lay back in this yellow stained bed you woke up on and try and find out if the water in your chamber's provided toilet is drink-able or not, or you can find out if the blue, shimmering, glowing gateway that just opened up in front of you is as safe as the robot on the intercom seems to suggest.

As decrepit as it initially appeared, the Enrichment Center does seem to have had some recent renovations. For instance, these blue metal fixtures jutting out of every other wall seem pretty new, as do these fields of glowing green beams of pure light. I'm sure they're fine to touch.

What test would be complete without a handheld Portal Device?

It may weigh a ton, have wires sticking out of it, and is covered in moving parts that don't look like they'll stop and wait politely for your fingers to move out of the way, but this piece of equipment is gonna be your only friend for the foreseeable future - the intercom clearly isn't. Just one little issue: There are two ports in the back of the device, but only one chip. You don't know exactly how this thing works, but one thing's for sure: You're gonna want to find a second one.

After months of waiting, our first demo for Quanta - Quanta: Narbacular - is finally ready to be played. Complete a blast from the past by playing all the way through Narbacular Drop as Quanta's protagonist, Quinton, or explore the caverns of the mountain as a mysterious test subject, Celestine.

In addition to Narbacular Drop's entire campaign of levels, Quanta: Narbacular includes 6 bonus levels to try out. While we're not ready to begin releasing gameplay slices of the full game's campaign just yet, we hope that these additional levels will keep players satiated for the time being.

Check to make sure your "Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer" is set to the "Upcoming" beta.

I just finished playing your demo, this is such a cool concept, I never thought someone was going to do a Narbacular Drop inspired Portal modification, and what you have right here is pretty awesome. I couple criticisms I have are that you should make it more clear that you are supposed to click on the turtle to ride, because I remember trying to jump on top of the turtle and then falling into lava, and maybe instead of text that pops up on the screen, have an in-game sign? The text really breaks the immersion. Otherwise this is really cool and I am really interested in seeing where this goes.

are you able to do an early 2006 era campaign?

Anything past the prospekt eras are essentially just minor asset differences and different escape sequences. I'd recommend Portal Project Beta with a few model replacements if that's what you're interested in.
