(This is not one of those super cheesy mega difficulty mods, please read the description)

This is a simple and fun little audio and visual overhaul mod for Resident Evil 1 that celebrates the history of Resident Evil Challenger and its community
Keep in mind that many of the references in this mod are VERY niche so you may not understand them all but theres plenty of extra fun stuff included.
Gameplay is mainly vanilla with damage values and ammo pickups quantity tweeked

Game was designed around the Jill / Nathan scenario so please play that

INSTALLATION
01. Download and install the Classic Rebirth patch as per the instructions found here

!!!(Please make sure you have the most up to date Classic Rebirth to avoid any problems)!!!
02. Download & extract the 'Resident Evil 1 Challenger Edition' mod using 7zip / WinRAR etc.
03. Place the extracted mod_re1ce folder into the same location as the Classic Rebirth patch and select the mod from the menu when launching the game
04. Place the savedata save file in your savedata folder if you want a New Game+ save file (It includes extra stuff)
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR STREAMERS: The introduction and first zombie FMV may trigger a copyright DMCA, resulting in demonetization for that livestream. If you are concerned about this, please replace pj.mp4 and dm3.mp4 from 'mod_re1ce/movie' with the ones featured in 'mod_re1ce/STREAMERS'.
