You're aboard the SMS Cöln, a light cruiser ship, when superior British forces attack, sinking the cruiser. You and a dozen other men board a cutter boat, only for it to sink from heavy fire and debris. As you descend into the water, all the noise is silenced. You clutch the ruby amulet your grandfather gifted to you as a young boy. Then, you hear a beautiful song coming from the dark murky depths. In a trance, you let yourself descend into the dark water. Just before you realize that you're about to drown, you wake up in a strange new world.
