Situation Outbreak is an Orange Box mod about the impending zombie apocalypse. Armed with nothing but a 9mm and a pair of brass knuckles, you must do whatever it takes to survive against the thousands of zombies that used to be your friends and neighbors. The cost of failure is nothing less than your free will. There are no heroes. No single person can save the world and there are not enough bullets to go around. I would say look awesome, but I can't really see it. Will the corpse turn visible on death? If it does, it should show some horribly disconfigured body with arms growing out the chest and multiple faces with massive scars all across the body, as if someone had already tried to kill it and failed. The look on it's face would be one of extreme anguish, as if the original human could feel everything that was done to it, yet was unable to do anything about it. Just a suggestion.

Very detailed! When we have a new modeling and texturing team, I'll be sure to put this on their agenda. But yes, the model does become opaque after the user has been killed.

probably a bit more damage, other than that, good.
The only reason it doesn't do more damage than the other classes is because its invisible. It can still deal damage very quickly to a survivor without him or her knowing exactly where he or she is being attacked from, though.

What do you mean? It is in v1.61, however SourceMod appears to break its functionality (ghost undead are still visible to others). I'm currently talking to the developers of SourceMod in hopes they have a fix.

i don't know if it's is right but, you need to stay still to be invisible or what? because when i got him in infection the other suvs could see me clearly, same when i fought a ghost, could see it clearly, hope this is fixed next version :D , oh and BTW the others zombies and the extermination gamemode are awesome!
you could make a gamemode where the military and the suvs cooperate, it would be great!
Actually, the issue you're describing is an issue with SourceMod, not the mod itself. I've been going back and forth with the developers of SourceMod as we attempt to find a fix, however we haven't managed to find the cause yet. Once I have a fix, I'll be distributing it via our website to server owners, etc.
And yeah, a Military and Survivor co-op sort of gamemode has already been requested. There's a thread on our forums about it and everything. Nice idea, though.

BTW in version 1.61 i would say that the ghost is "useless", and other thing that bother me is that i always spawn as a ghost. so, can you enable the ifected to choose their classes or it will overpower the zombys too much?
I am worried that if I allow players to choose an undead class that there will be some obvious class spamming, so we're probably not going to add that feature anytime soon, sorry.

stalker - corpse - ghost - charple...(and lots of diferent cicles without dupilcated classes)
and not: ghost - ghost - ghost - charple - ghost - ghost - corpse - charple - ghost - stalker - ghost - charple - ghost - ghost(this was the classes that i got in complete infection round)

You can never achieve true randomness with any programming language I'm familiar with. Duplication is pretty common when dealing with a small pool of choices (only four in this case). As more classes are added, this should fix itself. =P
Just a question for the texture artist : how did you get this opacity refract shader on a HL2 model ? I'm searching it for 2 weeks and I don't find anything, can you send me the VMT with explainations ?

Thanks for your comments, but this was actually all done via code. I simply set the render alpha of the model to 50 or so instead of the normal 255. The SetRenderColorA() function does this nicely. It isn't networked though, so you're going to have to figure that one out yourself, sorry. =P
umh...interesting idea,but i never liked the idea of ghost zombie,it just doesnt really fits the zombie apocalypse...
