The Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos is a free, total conversion mod for Gothic II: Gold Edition. It features a completely new open world, improved skills systems, gameplay mechanics and complex story.
Great story, the world is amazing and feels lived in. The ambience is just 10/10, with forests looking and sounding like forests. All regions have their separate stories, lore, looks and feel to them. The secondary quests are not simple fetch quests, they all have unique stories tied to them, making them less of a chore (not at all if you like the stories at least) They are also varied. The Main story is itself is really long, took me around 60 hours to beat it, admiteddly I took my time to soak it all up. If you get into this mod, you may easily sink 80 hours of your life in it.
This mod is great as old Gothic 2 Night of the Raven.
Uważam, że ocena 10/10 jest zupełnie uzasadniona biorąc pod uwagę, iż nie jest produkt dewelopera dysponującego wielkim budżetem, a modyfikacja stworzona przez fanow (bardzo kreatywnych i zdolnych fanów).
Niesamowita historia oraz wiele nowych mechanik urozmaicających rozgrywk sprawiają, że ciężko oderwać się od monitora.
Każda lokacja posiada swój własny klimat i urok.
Przemyślane zwroty akcji spełniające swoje zadanie czyli krótko mówiąc "szczena opada".
Z pewnością jeszcze nie raz wrócę do Kronik Myrtany by znów przeżyć te przygodę.

I give this mod the honorary title of Gothic 4. It's direct improvement over G1 and G2:NK not to mention G3. *(I don't consider G3:FoG and Arcania to be part of Gothic series at this point)

Amazing story, better mechanics, professional dubbing (but only in Polish). The story is very engaging and full of plot twists. The mod is also very long, I've played for 30 hours already but I am in just the third chapter (out of 6). I take this mod like a real Gothic game that was released after 20 years of being lost... I love it.
