Before we begin, I just wanted to give a big shout out to everyone over at Community Creations Con for the opportunity to participate in the event and to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The community managed to raise over nine thousands dollars for charity and I couldn't be more proud. I hope we'll be able to feature more projects and raise even more money next year.
With 2024 well underway I'm pleased to announce that the Fallout: Free Cheyenne has finally reached the point where there's a solid enough foundation that now is the time to begin expanding the project team.
For about two years now most of the effort was to actually understand the entire pipeline of the Fallout modding tools as well as to establish a conceptual framework for Fallout: Free Cheyenne, specifically the setting of the Corridor Wasteland (the factions, the history, the people, etc.) and it's story. Since the demo came out and the basic design principles have been nailed down, it's time to start ramping up the development of the game. But before we get there, let's go over what exactly Fallout: Free Cheyenne is going to be about.
Fallout: Free Cheyenne is continuing the themes of Fallout: New Vegas with it's emphasis on ethics, war, and identity, but this game is also going to explore the meaning of history and the value of time to the human experience.
The story begins with you being offered a job by the East Forty Caravan Company to recover a package stolen by a group of tribals known only as the "Ciphers" before it could be sent east. You and a small team of professionals are sent to track them to the Corridor Wasteland and attempt to recover what was taken. Along the way, you'll be able to resolve conflicts between factions and play a decisive role in the coming war between Free Cheyenne and Caesar's Legion.
The game world map will be the same size of New Vegas, if not a little larger. The Corridor Wasteland stretches from Cheyenne to Denver much like the real life Front Range Urban Corridor, but also encompasses the wasteland town of Laramie and the isolated communities in the Rocky Mountains like Granby, CO. To the east of this strip of settlements lies the Cauldron, an enormous radioactive dust bowl on the former Great Plains that hinders any attempt to expand further east. Those who reside inside this area are few, but dangerous.
There will be four major factions to choose from, each with a dedicated main quest line that will have an observable effect on the world and change the ultimate outcome of the game. Side quests will also be an important focus of this mod. The goal for side content will be about the same amount present in New Vegas.
The mod will also feature nine companions to accompany you on your adventure through the Corridor Wasteland. Each companion will have a story and a personal quest to complete.
And to finish off this brief overview of what can be expected for Fallout: Free Cheyenne I'll share some work-in-progress screenshots from the mod.

Periodically saves the game in rotating slots, but not when its risky or annoying.
This is the rtx.conf file necessary to run Fallout: New Vegas with RTX Remix. Place it in the root directory where the Remix runtime is installed.

I wanted Thing as my companion, but I was lazy, so I just replaced Rex with it.
In celebration of the upcoming series we probably going to hate for not being "Tru", here's a little mod pinata.

So I put Fallout 3 inside of New Vegas, then used New Vegas Randomizer on it.... The results made for one of the most epic playthroughs I've ever done, and this is only the first day 😁👍

New to the game mod community
MO2 shows missing master projectbrazil.esm even after being un-installed and
re-installed with the standalone installer. Also did a complete whipe of my system and re-installed everything all over still didnt fix problem HELP!!!!!!!!
Here’s a simple modding guide for New Vegas to get you up and running:
1) If you don’t have the game already, I suggest the Good Old Games version. You’ll need all DLCs.
2) You should use a mod manager instead of wasting your time with manual installations. Your options are: Fallout Mod Manager fork (most stable), Nexus Mod Manager 0.56.2 (easiest to use) and Mod Organizer 2 (most advanced). Do not use new versions of NMM or Vortex.
3) Enable your mod manager’s Archive Invalidation function.
4) Install the basics:
* NVSE,
* NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash
* New Vegas Stutter Remover (a great plugin but doesn’t work well on Windows 10)
* JIP-LN Plugin
5) Install esp-less mods:
* Enhanced Camera
* Collision Meshes FNV
* Worn-Out Scopes (use the “non-severely” version)
* Improved LOD noise Texture
* Wasteland Flora Overhaul (use the esp-less version and delete treejoshAnv.nif, treejoshBnv.nif, yuccaAnv.nif, yuccaCnv.nif, nv_euroaspen02.nif, nv_redced02.nif, nv_westjuniper03.nif)
6) Now install the main mods using this load order:
* YUP
* NVCE Ultimate
* Better Pickup Prompt
* SafeAutoSave
* Barton Thorn Alternative Trigger
* Heroin Zero Weapon Fixes
* NVCE Ultimate - YUP Patch
* Unofficial Patch Plus
* NVCE Ultimate - UP+ Patch.esp
* Mojave Music Radio - Extended
* Mr. New Vegas' Secret Stash (hard to find, search the Internet)
* Honest Hearts Letter
* Simple DLC Delay
* 5 Level SPECIAL
* Harvestable Cave Fungus
* Vanilla Intro Plus
* Main Story Alterations
* Outside Bets
* Expanded Medical Clinic
* JSawyer Ultimate Edition
* JSawyer Ultimate Edition - GRA Merged
* NVCE Ultimate - JSUE.esp
* Throwable Weapon Fixes
* Vanilla UI Plus
7) Play the game!
I just downloaded it and added it through Vortex, works fine.
Didn't use any of the mods you have listed tho.
Just the multicore threading fix with 4gb NVSE
and an ENB with sweetfx.
Plus a few basic mods.
Running it in 1440p no issues so far
The stuff from step 4 I never use or the unofficial patches.
May try a few you have listed later.
The ones I have are:
Multicore Threading Fix
Patched 4gb NVSE
MTUI
Weapon Mods Expanded
NMC
Sprint mod
some beauty packs hd teeth and eyelashes
Type 3 body types
Much shorter list.
I`ve just found How to get the Benevolent Leader Achievement with one Settler. Maybe it will be useful - Gamespedition.com
