The Depot Demo for Division 3 of RTBR, featuring the assault on the Combine's stronghold in the Wasteland!
As we enter our sixth year of development, we're thrilled to give you the first taste of RTBR Division 3 with our depot demo, covering the first four maps of the depot journey that takes place at the tail end of Division 3!
Before going into the demo, please bear in mind the following disclaimer:
This demo indicates a close-to-final but not yet finalised version of four of RTBR's depot maps. There are still issues present, known and unknown, that will be attended to prior to the final release of Division 3. A list of known issues can be found over on our Discord server's feedback channel.

To install:
1. Download Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer
2. Right click in your library and select properties
3. Navigate to the "betas" tab and select the branch as "upcoming"
4. Unzip the downloaded zip file
5. Drag the RaisingTheBarRedux_Release folder and its contents into your Sourcemods folder in your root steam directory
6. Restart Steam
7. The mod should now appear in your Steam library.

The mod crashes after the of Raising the Bar video... It doesnt load the menu, it just crashes.
And yes, i have the SDK 2013 in Upcoming and verify the cache.

It seems to me that there is not enough gloomy lighting at the beginning of the division
--SPOILERS BELOW--
This demo is... good, but it's nowhere near as good as the rest of RTB:R. First of all, it feels incredibly rushed. The ending sequence where an antlion guard charges into Eli & Alyx feels really static, as Eli & Alyx just don't move. They talk, but they don't move, Alyx doesn't shoot, it feels really rushed.
The level design is really good IMO, the maps look beautiful for the most part (aside from some crude brushwork in some spots). The gameplay is not perfect though, there are large clumps of soldiers constantly attacking you, cremators are still completely useless and not a threat, and hunters are a lot less challenging than they are in EP2. Also there's a puzzle where you have to get antlions on a platform to lower it, please change that puzzle, it sucks.
Alyx is weird. Firstly, her dialogue feels way too cheery and unnatural. HL2 Alyx was also cheery, but not as much as RTB:R Alyx. RTB:R Alyx also tends to say things... I don't quite know how to describe it, it's like she says things like you already know them and she's just stating the obvious. Secondly, her AI sucks. In one of the maps, the map after rescuing 2 vorts from vorticells, her AI breaks completely. She starts running ahead of the player and right into enemies (one point she ran into a cremator like a little girl running into her father's arms lmao). I *think* what might be happening is that she is ignoring enemies, ignoring the player, and just running to a specific point on the map, probably somewhere she needs to be for a scripted sequence. During this strange running problem, she also tends to get stuck on a lot of objects.
I don't have much to say about the weapons: they look good, they feel good, but they might be a bit overpowered.
Overall, the demo is good but it feels very rushed and not up to RTB:R standards. I feel like if the devs hadn't locked themselves into releasing the demo in the last day of April, and spent more time on it, it would've been much better.

Everything is cool!
I caught only one bug on the third map - Alyx did not enter the elevator at first, and when I pushed her and she finally entered - the elevator itself did not start.
Also, in my opinion, the warehouse with wooden boxes and containers at the beginning, although interesting to play, somehow stands out in terms of style from other maps. Looks kind of... cartoonish? Can you replace some of the boxes with metal ones?

I think an option to swap scope and secondary fire for the OICW and Steambow would be nice
I have played through division three and I loved it. Cool weapons, good level design, and interesting new features. I didn't find any bugs while playing this, except for a few crashes (But I think that's just standard source engine shenanigans).
One criticism I wanted to give, is to make the secondary attack for the steambow and oicw the aim function. Also, I find it confusing as to why the tau cannon is on the meele slot.
Overall, I had fun. Keep on the great work. And I can't wait to play that portal mod you've been teasing.
