Map 7 of Evilution, the Prison is bugged. You can't last more than a few seconds falling into the lava even with the radiation suit, especially beyond the red door, making it unbeatable without cheats.

In other news, the newer weapons are poorly used because their models are barely noticeable, so it's always a surprise when you find yourself with an auto shotgun or a railgun as you cycle through your inventory. A new weapon should always excite you whenever you pick it up, so I think a good way of handling this is to have new enemy types like the auto shotgun zombie or a railgun zombie etc., so it never comes as a surprise whenever you find yourself with a new weapon that wasn't in the base game before. You'll get the players more amped up when picking up a new weapon, and you'll introduce new challenges to the player.

I want to add another comment, totally unrelated to my last comment from about a month ago. This one's more so about the friendlies you find along the way, some hidden, some more out there. Honestly, I think the game could do without them. They don't so much get in the way, it's just that half the time they aren't even around, until they decide to pop up at the beginning of the next map. And while I would normally suggest tweaking the AI a bit, giving them better path finding, here I just think you should remove them all together.

Doom isn't the kind of game where you fight alongside other marines anyway; you're the lone marine. You're the DOOM Marine, and I think it should stay that. way.

Weapon recoil for the pump-action shotgun and assault rifle are the initially the biggest issue in the game. It's a bit much and I do think it should be taking down a notch, especially when the recoil would start to jolt your weapon around--it actually makes it harder to see anything. You're almost better off just hip-firing, but using alternate fire on the shotgun when aiming down the sights does have its benefits.

It's still good so far, and I've been loving the impact of the hand grenade--though I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't appreciate a better grenade count in the HUD as its hard for me to see how much I actually. I haven't made it that far and haven't used every single weapon so I comment too much on the arsenal, other than the aforementioned recoil on a select few weapons. And perhaps I shouldn't be comparing this to Project Brutality so I won't, but I will say there are things in PB I wish were here.

Just an addendum to this comment: I found out that a lot of the issues I have with the weapons' recoil is pretty much only when I pick the tactical game mode because when choosing between a pistol or a rifle start, there's absolutely no recoil. Which I also think is a problem; while I did initially think the weapons had too much of a kick at first, having no kick at all kinda makes the weapon lack the impact they need. There definitely needs to be a balance between decent recoil and weapon control, and once you find that sweet spot I think you should have it like that across all game modes.

Well, it's not my problem to solve; this is your mod. And if you're telling me the default key should be F, then why does it not say so in the text prompt during the tutorial? It does that for every other action up until that point. If it had actually said something, there wouldn't have been a problem in the first place.

But look, I really don't care. I'm not gonna go out of my way not to redownload the mod--pressing F to say if it does anything or mess about some more in the options until I find where I can bind the abilities key. It would just be a huge waste of time; I already didn't like the demo.

What do you mean, "you have no control over?" This is your mod, isn't it? And "defaulting to off is a bad choice?" Well, who's choice was that? Certainly wasn't mine because I'm not the one who made this thing. Just what the hell are you talking about?

And you haven't told me anything I haven't already tried. Where exactly do I set a key to use the abilities, specifically? Like, of course I'd look in the options, why do you think I'm here in the first place? There's even another comment on page 5 who had the exact same issue and it still hasn't been addressed since.

You're terrible at making mods, I'd hate to see you make a full game.

Well, how exactly do I bind it? That's the problem here: I can't bind it to anything 'cause there's nothing for it in the options.
But why should I have to bind it myself anyway--shouldn't that be their job? I'd be okay if I didn't like the default controls and I wanted to change it, but the issue here is there isn't even a default key for the abilities in the first place.

Also, "may the milk of all your goats be sour?" Dude, what the ****--that's just hilarious.

Well yeah, **** you in the ear-hole 'cause you ARE lazy. This is your own mod, *******. I can't even learn how to play the game 'cause you couldn't be bothered with giving us proper controls.

This mod sucks 'cause the devs were too lazy to add default controls. How do you use your abilities? No seriously, how do you use them? It says to press an "undefined key," so there isn't a default key for it--so I pause the game, go into options, click "customize controls > actions, and there's nothing there. I checked everything, nothing. I can't play the demo properly 'cause I can't figure out how to map anything to the abilities because the devs, for whatever ******* reason, couldn't have bothered with this themselves.

If I am going to be playing a demo for the first time and you're going to teach me how to play, THEN TEACH ME HOW TO PLAY! Have default controls for your own game! I shouldn't have to pause just to map something that should've been mapped by default. If I didn't like it, sure I'd change it, but I hate playing a brand new game and a key mechanic doesn't even have an input already. What's next, you all make an FPS and don't bother mapping movement?
