Videos, streams, and general feedback Thread - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

So far I've not seen any videos or streams of anyone playing this mod pack. If you see (or even better make) videos or streams, please post a link here. It would help me to understand better how people are actually playing and I can keep that in mind when I work on new updates or addons for the pack.

If I see high quality content that I really like, I might even consider pointing it out and linking to it. Not guaranteed, of course, but possible

While the goal of this pack will always be to balance the game in a way that I personally enjoy (I made it primarily for myself after all), I'm also aware that some people like a more challenging experience and the least I can do is trying to have optional addons in the future that can be used to change the gameplay accordingly.

This thread can also be used for general feedback on the pack. If I understand what's good and what's bad (and why!) I can take that into consideration for future changes.

I will give you link for my stream but I am kindy uni busy at the moment unfurnately EMT school is not suitable to people who wanna enjoy this great mod

I could make short streams when I play just for fun. I dont know how people would react to a stream of aprox 2 hours everyday and to a player that is really green to a COM, last day mod and misery in general. Either way it could be more of a adventurous spirit style because almost all things are new to me and it needs constant exploring. So maybe only new players will like it not misery veterans.

But I will do it only if I will have stable 60fps with general high preset. So I will need to put my rx480 4gb and i7 7700k to the test first and report back.

That looks amazing indeed. I sometimes spend more time taking screenshots than killing enemies during sunrise or sunset

anyway Temple how did you manage to bring back minimap ? It could really help me finding the corpses

You should watch the whole thing if you have time. I just started with youtube (again) and I plan to do a series. You can see some bugs in this video like:

1. Dead City radio still bugged
2. Strange bloodsucker that seems to immediately spawn inside the base?
3. Strange psy things, phantom creatures like it is Radar or Yantar, possibly connected to point 2.

Not sure why you had 2. and 3. but for 1. there is now a solution: Update Previews for Anomaly Repack

I'll try it out. Btw, I downloaded the fresh repack not using any other mods.
In part 2 I had a thing when I went from Dead City to Army Warehouses (I'm a Merc) a Freedom Squad (hostile to Mercs) spawned immediately behind me. I have it on camera. I think that can usually happen in Last Day as well but the faction relations are more tweaked (I think its because DoctorX mod) so Freedom isn't hostile to Mercs. (https://youtu.be/LK1HELXM1wA?t=23m15s <--- Direct moment it happens) Whatever, Its not game breaking or anything but I know I didn't spot Freedom in Dead City they kinda just spawned in the middle of a Merc checkpoint.

Great work btw, I'm enjoying my playthrough and Anomaly.

Just watched the whole video. Really enjoying your let's play so far and I don't mind things being slow (like disassembling with animations), it actually makes it more interesting at least for me to watch. You never know is STALKER decides to throw random shit at you while doing that

I've seen the issue before where squads enter a level shortly after you arrived, I usually roleplay that as them having waited behind cover for someone to ambush. It also makes it kind of interesting imho.

What I didn't understand is why the trader in the army base didn't have anything to offer. Maybe the trader inventory wasn't refreshed, but that should change over time. Otherwise it's a bug that I need to hunt down.

Thanks, I'll keep doing videos so tune in. I thought that the Freedom trader won't give me the full inventory since I'm a Merc in disguise. I thought its some soft "nerf" to the disguise system. Otherwise no idea, someone would have to check if the trader works normally if you are an actual Freedom member.

Edit: A suggestion if you could make a hotkey for turning on and off item animations that would be very useful. I saw something similar in a mod for Last Day, but it was for one of the earlier versions.

This is an outdated mod but fix 1 is for the animations, maybe you could port it or it might still work. I don't know much about the technical stuff but this might save you some time.

That was easy, since you sent me a working mod for it, I just integrated it in Update Preview 1.0.3

I'll watch the last 15 minutes of episode 3 and the whole of episode 4 tomorrow or later tonight. Had to make a major crash fix today, but it's now out as Update Preview 1.0.5 and I can go back to doing other things again

EDIT: Just saw the part of the video. That was amazing, STALKER at its best.

Sometimes you just have to love the emergent behavior of the AI and that was a very skilled soldier. Probably hiding behind the green container and waiting for you to look in the other direction.
