Ben Hur of MODing.

Imagine playing 100 Sid Meier CIVs fused into 1 game, that's how big the research tree is. Don't get discouraged by the Pirate theme - atmosphere is nearly identical to Fallout games and lore faithfully continues OG UFO:EU/TFTD, over 500 years into the future where technological know-how has been lost and must be re-learned from the ground up. Nothing I say in this little box will ever begin to come close to explaining how complex and rich this mod is. It's powered by OpenXcomExtended - a port of the original engine which comes with plethora of QoL features that help in dealing with ever increasing gameplay mechanic workload.

Oh yeah 400 hours is a blatant lie, I'm over 1000 in and there is still stuff to do... Help.

If I were shipwrecked on a desert island and could only play one game, it would be this one. How exactly I am playing video games on a desert island is a separate question.

Probably (or perhaps improbably) the best squad tactics game of all time.

Best mod I have ever played. Huge compilation of extra content and features, carefully crafted over many years. Infinite replayability.

Perfect. You have to give it a try. It's one of the best experiences I ever had.

How to justify such a high rating huh...

Well, I like it how you can go in sooo many and more different directions in the research department and how free you are here - how you are not supposed to build so many bases and develop as fast and as soon as possible if you don't want to! I like the laid back atmosphere the pirate theme gives combined with futuristic tech and gals, polar opposite of the original UFO 1 and 2.

Very hard, very complicated, very intresting, very addictive, very grindy.

Most huge and crazy total conversion for OpenXcom platform.

You will play this for hundreds of hours and still discover new content. Just crazy.
