We did say we would be back very soon, so here we are, with more tech structures to showcase today.
While archaic in the face of the Jet Age, these upgraded Flak Cannons more than make up for their lack of guidance systems with an advanced targeting system and a high rate of fire. These bunkers have more than enough ammunition to shoot down several sorties, and as a result merely require a faction to man them to verify targets. These bunkers are useless without anyone manning them however, making them easily able to be cleared out and rendered useless by anti-garrison weaponry.
While heavy howitzers and fire-spewing rocket batteries may constitute the most spectacular kinds of artillery, the common mortar remains the bread and butter of indirect fire support for militaries around the world. Heavy mortars in particular can deliver devastating impacts, though older models such as this common type leave much to be desired in terms of firing rate and tracking of mobile targets. Thanks to a high level of automation, the weapon can be operated by a single soldier placed in the control post, though it must be noted that the building is not protected against anti-garrison weapons.
