pretty good idea, good textures, but buggy controls
I've just finished playing through the demo of the mod and I really like it. It allows me to see a game that I've played through well over 100 times since release, in a new way.
The mod manages to create a feeling of liminality by removing any semblance of life from a game that I hold knowledge of every character position and event.
I found myself traversing the world and analysing it with a level of curiosity and interest that I haven't had since my first play through all the way back in 2004. The removal of small events such as the apartment raid creates an unsettling atmosphere since you're now afforded the time to look around and explore areas you were previously rushed through.
I think my only criticism so far is how dark the mod is and the reliance on the flashlight. It would make sense if the purpose of the mod was to make you feel secluded and alone in a long-abandoned world but the environments don't reflect that.
The mod would work much better if it went for more of a "lived in" vibe. The idea that the environment and lighting shows you people were living here and only abandoned it within the past few hours or days. It would create an uneasy tension as if someone might be lurking just out of sight, yet each corner turned reveals nothing but absence.

The "BetterReticle" mod is mandatory.
2 playthroughs, one with pistols and the other with shotguns, both always felt horrible because of inaccuracy.
The mod fixes it without giving you 100% perfect aim and without affecting the Critical Hit mechanic.

An amazing addon for fans of the C&C: Generals Zero Hour series. Allows you to install your favorite modifications without “dancing with a tambourine” with just one game client. Simple and intuitive to understand. The developers periodically update and support the client, which is extremely pleasing. I hope that the base of modifications will only expand. I advise and recommend!
