Ever wondered why clanrats who tunnel into the battlefield just collapse and die? And why the same thing happens to the eagles or the zombies that you summon to your aid? This is because CA has patched in health degradation on summons to curb excessive summoning in multiplayer. If you like me feel this is unduly punishes campaign players and hurts immersion, this simple mod will permanently remove degradation effects on all summoned reinforcements.




Removes/disables the degradation effect on all summonable units for both the AI and the player. Naturally, summoning costs/charges are also reverted to their original ratios to maintain balance.

Highly compatible with the vast majority of mods on the workshop including large overhaul mods.

Fully save compatible and can be turned on/off without issue mid-campaign.




The purpose of this mod is to remove an arbitrary restriction and allow summoned reinforcements to again fight on equal terms - since they are no longer debilitated by, you know, slowly vaporizing into thin air. It will also restore all the long-term tactical options you had with them: they can bolster your battlelines, guard your lord, go on flanking missions, man siege equipment, etc.

Without degradation the new discounts to summoning costs/charges are of course disruptive to game balance and have therefore been put back to values close to their original, pre-patch state.
I welcome all feedback on the matter in the pinned thread below and if you present a strong argument for it, numbers can be raised or lowered. There will not be any alternate versions of the mod but you are free to privately edit the mod. All-in-all you can expect factions that can summon to be a greater threat in real-time battles but that is about it.
