pretty sure you would have to ask valve for the source code for portal 2 to be able to mod something like that, with source 1's current modding tools we are only able to make maps and modify other things but adding new mechanics that arent already in the game would have to be done from scratch, which you would need the source code for.

its not cancelled, he posted something on his youtube community page. basically hes just burnt out of the source engine right now and a bit busy with other things.

Vectronic was originally PUNT, this project has died but Lunchhouse software picked up PUNT and decided to remake it.

mods for some reason get updated if an article was made featuring that mod, this mod was featured in an article about timeless mods for the orange box games

this is quite late but, theres a game on roblox called tunneler which is basically portal but with a different story and different look. this mod is a port of that roblox game on source

i meant inside the test chambers, like adding new panels, i can see there already is a new panel from half life 2 there tho but it still looks out of place.

damn this mod has been in development for 10 years

i feel like there should be more combine decoration, feels a little empty with only portal 2 panels

the project is still alive
