I have tested with missions 2 and 3, attempting to start either of them throws a scar error and crashes the game using the latest patch, with or without the optional mod.
By reverting to a clean v4.1, both missions work, with or without the optional mod.
Files were downloaded today.
Not sure if it's relevant, but I'm running at 1440p resolution
