You're the one who missed the whole point by starting out your own ridiculous arguments which by the way wasn't about what I've written in the first place. But who cares, right? How is it that the game is good if the AI gets stuck and so easy to beat even with so little effort? Black Mesa was at its peak because of Valve not releasing anything new related to Half-Life universe. That was before the Half-Life Alyx by the way, in case you're living under a rock...which by the way sounds about right. But of course, you can't simply process this in your mind as long as it's easy to digest, right? You and some of you likes complaining about the lack of proof of concept...of what exactly? What would you want them to show to you? They already proved themselves countless of times as how much of a progress that they've made and with all the "NEW --- STUFFS"...even though it's "NOT MMO" ... But okay, because you worked on OBM/GD before I take it? So basically it explains that you're not up to speed, I assume. You know what, I don't have time for someone who don't do their own research or just throws reckless accusations around just for to make themselves justify. Whatever, Jack...keep on believing what you're believing.

Hey, one would have thought a weak minded such as you, could pretty much think of something to get triggered by such fact. You two geniuses don't even look up / research / search anywhere if the devs are active or not and yet our weak minded pal and his bro jealousy Joe throws accusations of how devs are just stalling people with just mere words. Did you two geniuses know that they posted something on their YouTube channel recently? No, and yet here we are... arguing about how much you two are full of retarted personality. Please, do continue being friendly kami, because that's how much of a weak minded you are with such reasoning. And you Jack, help yourself on the way of becoming a stalemate.

(buried)

And yet, the Ai of Black Mesa still sucks. Dumb Ai with the same old limited stuff doing, getting stuck or just freeze and waiting for the player as before. What have they added to the game all those years since the fully released version of it? Don't start with Xen... I say again, doesn't matter if you have an army of staff working over endlessly to create/complete/release the game on time. Because that's what most million dollar corporations create their games and yet they end up getting destroyed because of the stupid decisions that they had to make. Have you seen the footage or the developer documentaries of this game? If you haven't, you should check them out. You're either clueless or just a person who's jealous of this game just because it will destroy Black Mesa's reputation once it's released.

I wouldn't bet on that. If they were planning on abandoning this game, they'd already done so. You can't just give up after having so much stuffs getting put / created within this project. People who had waited for Black Mesa had doubted about them once and look how that turned out. So, have a little faith John.

I have no words, don't have anything to say to even express what this masterpiece is all about. That trailer is one epic teaser. Voice acting of the HECU and Dr. Breen cameo is phenomenal. Opposing Force, HECU is way underrated than what Valve is doing for Half-Life series. I wish that somehow Adrian Shephard ended up in Alyx when G-Man showed a silhouette. But anyway, this mod that you're making...I'm sure it's gonna be a masterpiece. Thank you for this legend creation.

I'm more interested in H.E.C.U... I mean, how's the AI got to do with anything? I just hope it's not gonna be just Shephard alone behind the enemy lines. Would be nice to encounter allies along the way...and not just any science team or security guards you know? Waiting is all good, building up the anticipation for this project and all. As opposed to how much cannon this mod keeps within itself, I've got a question about the changes regarding this mod. So, how much do we get to see Adrian Shephard? I'm talking about seeing him in person. But if you're not planning on bringing him back as a whole, then it would be cool to hear some references here and there...I don't know, maybe his whereabouts and mission. Something similar like how that played out in Blue-Shift...one of the grunts mentioning "just because Shephard's team didn't make it, we have to do the crap jobs?" But then again, I'm just hoping you're gonna bring Adrian Shephard back...so we get to see him. Even so in a small time span.

Okay, whoever's responsible for this mod, please don't you ever stop until it's completed. You cannot abandon this masterpiece ever. Not after the cancellation of Opposing Force 2. I can't even express how cool it was to see Shephard in uniform again. And those custom voice lines, they're incredible. Top notch. I'm just hoping there's gonna be some H.E.C.U references here and there. Especially people realizing Shephard is wearing fatigues. I don't know if any sort of PTSD would be good to include as if seeing some sort of stuffs from the past...flashback wise? I don't know. But wouldn't hurt to know Shephard is a unique protagonist in this story. Not just any player you get into a suit and start killing enemies solving some puzzles. Besides the point, you gotta change how Shephard holds his weapons such as the combine's pistol. I love the way you handled the way he's holding deagle though. I can't wait to see what you're gonna do if there's any unique weapons such as M16 or M4A1 involved. That would be the best rather than seeing an SMG.

I don't know what to tell you, man. But first things first, I gotta say...I've never expected that kind of imagination beyond what was expected to be released. I mean, when it's all about Half-Life's Remake back then...people were expecting a big change up for that day's standards...and they definitely got that in the end. But you know, I did stopped thinking after I realized that this is gonna be another upgraded game where it gets revived to this day [in general]. The more and the more time passes, I keep asking myself what if it's just another way or version of Black Mesa or so on. Then, you keep changing things up...adding more variety what this game has/had...creating super cool stuffs that we mostly see today's big company games and so on [believe me I'm not even exaggerating while I'm telling you this] This is some next level, man. After I saw Guard and Soldier models, it's all done for me. I literally have no doubts let alone questions that this is a game people are gonna remember for another 10 years or so. Masterpiece.

Maaan, I've got one hell of a questions for ya. And I can't wait to hear your answers, even your thoughts. I've got few more questions about other HECU members as well. But first, let's hear this one.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Location: Intro; Inside The Chopper.

There are 5 soldiers right beside you...waiting to be deployed on Black Mesa Facility. The two of them talking about the mission and you know, revealing their names and all. Tower & Jackson are introduced during the journey to Black Mesa in Goose 7.

As Goose 7 was traveling to Black Mesa, Jackson briefly joked about Tower's mother, and stated the purpose of their mission did not really matter as long as he would be able to kill something. As Tower attempted to draw Shephard into the argument, the Osprey flying alongside them, Goose 3, was shot down by an Alien Aircraft. Shortly afterward, Goose 7 was shot down as well, causing it to crash.

Location: Vicarious Reality; Small Room With Radio.

During his journey through Black Mesa, Adrian Shephard finds the members of team X-Ray Zulu, all KIA. However, their radio is still functional, and he overhears a radio transmission from a team commander who has engaged the Pit Worm with his unit. The transmission reveals Tower survived Goose 7's crash and has joined with this unit but then was killed, as the commander notes "Tower and Eddy are down and I've lost contact with the rest of the squad!".

Location: Vicarious Reality; Pit Worm's Nest.

Tower's corpse cannot be found in the Pit Worm area, as the two African-American HECU soldiers found there have differences in their respective models.

[thanks for the info on half-life.fandom.com & combineoverwiki.net & dusan_malindzak/AudioscriptOpposingForce.htm]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I was wondering if you're gonna point out what happened to them. 'Cause you know, we don't know a damn thing about what happened to those marines. We see some dead soldiers here and there but we never actually got to see those two particular soldiers corpses...either of them [Tower & Jackson]

Also will you make their models look different than other soldiers? I mean, you know because we know their names and all...and the reason that they were a member of Shephard's squadron.

Here's some ideas for possible scenes of the creature called "Gargantua"
------------------------------------------------------------------

1-Imagine that some of the stranded HECU forces stationed inside of the warehouse. Shephard heard about it through one of the radios like the one he stumbled upon at the crash site. And decided to head there to join them so that they can find a way to get out of this mess. But once he's there, a Gargantua appears out of nowhere [maybe crashing the gate? [walls or something] to get inside and bam! you've got the best party crasher.

2-While Shephard wandering outside or inside of Black Mesa Complex, he hears some distant voices. And decides to check it out. Once he's at the scene, he realizes that some of his comrades have been chased by big old fella Gargantua! Now, imagine how funny that scene could be.

3-HECU forces are falling back / retreating / extracting etc. So, while ospreys and helicopters are pulling out, Gargantua appears and grabbing one to smash the other. Or throwing the helicopter towards the osprey!

------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, you don't have to take any of them into considration or so, and I also know that you want to stay loyal to the original story and stuffs. But please just think about it, okay? There's so much that you can do with a creature like that.

Hello, there devs, gents and ladies who's been waiting impatient enough for this legendary remake and enhanced project.

I've got some questions for you...to pass the time #-#

1- Do you plan on adding more realism to the pain sounds of player? [More than bones cracking...]

2- Everybody loves mods. When this legendary game gets released, a lot of modders who's out there gonna want to create other stories around Shephard or some other HECU or something. So, my question is...do you plan on making it easier for users to do that...meaning, installing a mod and being able to play it just like the original half-life. For better or worse, I know it's a pain in the *** to be able to play mods "cough...cough" in BM. So, what's your take on this?

3- What about scripted sequences? Not talking about the usual ones that we're already aware of...any surprises? Or just some things lying around here & there?

4- Alright, this question is pretty much important to me. Not gonna dig more about AI or anything...but I'm curious about the tactical way of HECU handling enemies or so [Aside from the video that you've shared before] Like, uhmm...when in numbers, are we gonna see some more action? I mean, more than action...like some tactical commands between soldiers. Not like anything big. But at least, would be cool to hear more chatter while fighting off the enemy. I'm just hoping between enemy HECU [GD] and allied [OBM] ones are gonna be much more tougher and smarter than that.

5- It may sound stupid or ridiculous to ask or even consider...but then again, here we go. So, there's OBM and GD. Between the games...are you gonna change HECU model when it comes to GD or are they gonna look the same in both games?

1st Bonus Question: Human Sergeant! [The guy who's using Mini Gun to kick some ***] We all know that he's cut from the original half-life. Do you plan on bringing him back? If yes, would it be crazy enough to see him as one of HECU in OBM? Come on, what's more do you need to see something like that? :D

2nd Bonus Question: Female version of Security Guards. I've heard that you're not planning on creating female soldier...don't know if anybody asked if you plan on adding female security guards, so there it is. Do you?

3rd Bonus Question: When do you plan on showing some Human NPC Models?

3*About HECU and Tactics

In areas that they have heavily fortified, they make use of Laser Tripmines, Sentry Guns, and a variety of manned turrets and weapon emplacements. Outdoors, they are backed in the air by Apaches and Ospreys while tanks provide support on the ground.

Let's take a step back and take a look at it.

In Opposing Force, Adrian becomes separated from his unit early in the game and wakes up to learn that the Marines are now pulling out.

Now that doesn't necessarily mean, everyone with a vehicle, osprey, Apache or even tank means that they all got out. Why? Because as you can see and already know what happens/happened in chapter 3 we are pulling out.

Chapter 3: "We Are Pulling Out"

As the battle begins to favor the Xen aliens, Adrian realizes the military forces have been ordered to pull out.

Details Adrian's attempt to reach the HECU's extraction point to escape Black Mesa. Adrian reaches the extraction point, but is deliberately left behind due to the G-Man's actions.

There could be/should be another extraction points out there...just like this. Seriously there only was one Osprey left? So, everybody left...and there was only one Osprey. I think that's the cheapest way to tell you that you're not getting any manpower when you get to the winning side...and here it's HECU.

No Osprey - Check
No Apache - Check
No Tank - Check
No Sentry Gun - Check [Yup not even sentries]

Sooo...what do we have? Nothing, just a handful of Marines that are still alive behind those walls. Oh, that's just great. Even Gordon got a lot of action back in the day.

Oh, wait...but Blackops got all those fancy toys! Am I right? So, that's gotta be enough.

Anyway, what I'm trying to tell you guys here...is that "Who wouldn't want to see HECU vs Blackops" clashing...Apache on Apache. Or even some Osprey deploying troops on both sides. Come on, that's something everybody got to see. Not even talking about RaceX version of that. And some Alien Craft [Manta Ray - Stingray...anyone familiar with the terms] dropping over Ospreys! Even if you disagree all this...just at least mak e it happen the other way around, I mean I wouldn't mind seeing some friendly sentry guns..some manned turrets that are usable for HECU just like we saw in Half-Life 1.

[Thanks for reading/listening...and again you don't have to take any of them into consideration or so. Just an idea, that's all.]

2*About HECU and AI Relationship towards BM Personnel

The HECU Marines are sent in to clean up the Black Mesa Research Facility following the incident, their mission being to eliminate anyone with knowledge of the research project and the extraterrestrial life involved.

Now this part where some people [*cough cough...devs, anyone? :P] disagree whether Shephard's team [but more importantly Adrian himself] should/gotta kill the remaining [all] Black Mesa Research Facility Personnel. I for one, agree that all of HECU including Cpl. Adrian Shephard was/were sent there to kill everyone associated with the project.

Now, I want you to take a look this example for once:

They are initially described as working in cooperation with the Black Mesa Security Force in case of emergency circumstances, a role that changes during the progression of their mission.

I know not all of you are fan of combineoverwiki.net since some disagree most of the stuff that's going on inside the game. Anyway, that's one of the story for another time. Let's continue.

Here another example whether this whole disagreement are true or not:

The Opposing Force soldiers are still coded to fight Black Mesa personnel. This can be seen in the chapter Missing in Action. The Marines shoot at the scientist hiding under the floor when they see him.

As you can see when it comes to AI part...they're all coded to achieve the same goal as the "Other" HECU.

Look, I'm not planning on starting another fighting over what happened years ago. You may don't like it the way it is/was...your vision could be different than others. I respect that.

But and there is this "big" but...could you at least make not-all but "some" of the Black Mesa personnel hostile towards "us" meaning Adrian. And I hope the same for the rest of our fellow comrades.

And we shouldn't forget the hostile black Mesa security guards, that's some epic work right there. I'm one of the people who complained about why there were not a single hostility. You help scientists, security guards but attack aliens only? You got it all right. And I see that you improved a lot. That is so cool! First of all, I forgot my password on [tripminestudios.com] so here I am babbling...bear with me XD

1*About HECU Radio...

Radios are used by the HECU during the Black Mesa Incident to communicate within the Black Mesa Research Facility.

Commonly found at choke points or camps, it gives the HECU insight on the battlefield and status on squads or camps.

Gordon Freeman, Adrian Shephard and Barney Calhoun use them to listen to the HECU's tactics and next moves. Shephard will often use radios to gain vital information on other soldiers' whereabouts and what his next move should be.

[thanks for the info on Combineoverwiki.net]

With that being said...do you plan on adding more of them? and also if not...please add/create more of these scripted radios to let us hear the other soldiers who's left behind as well. I mean, those whose left behind, gotta contact other soldiers to regroup or even find a way to get out of that mess they're in.

So, the idea is making this whole invasion and survival realistic. I mean, you can even make something like a guy named "Jack" talking us through the radios from the beginning to "x" point and we see his dead body. Or make it simple just like what I said before this example.

The idea is to keep the whole place alive. Even rebels contacted others that way in Half-Life 2. So, come on...we're talking about Soldiers. I don't want them to just follow me. I want to see them "trying, doing something" not just standing there the whole time.

[you don't have to take any of them into consideration or so...just an idea that's all]
