Avatar mod for Half-Life 2

The gods have all been warring amongst each other for years. Much like on earth, the gods all have their own factions. Years of war have lowered everyones numbers to the point where only 3 factions are left from the ancient gods, the Greeks, the Egyptians and the Norse. None of this made much difference to the modern world until recently. Faith has been dropping across the globe and replenshments for the armies in the afterlife have grown short for each side. The Egyptians and the Norse, their strength fading against the numbers of the greek, decided to join forces and devise a plan to overthrow Zeus. While their numbers were growing ever smaller, the population on earth has grown ever larger. They decided to send their avatars down to earth to begin harvesting souls for their cause in the only way they know how...

Slaughter... What better way to spread faith than show the mortals they killed just who exactly killed them before they died. With enough souls they could win the war.

The greek gods having got wind of this sent down their 8 most powerful generals in Avatar form to stop them at whatever cost.

The premise of the game is 16 gods, 8 on each team, but only one of each god at a time. So currently that makes for 16 max players. I know some people will complain if they go on a server and all the 'good' ones are taken, but I want to make each one worth playing, and if they want to all be the same person, they can go play ANY other mod.

In avatar forms, all the gods are mortal (super mortals) but mortal anyways and with very much limited powers.. I want it to be a semi-futuristic/goth take on all the gods, not like an old school god, but new in sleek armor and clothes(but still suiting their personality). When they die they're spirits get transported to the afterlife and within 20 seconds are channeled back to the real world through a temple's altar.

In the main mode of Avatar, this will be the target. Once it is destroyed the team can no longer respawn.

The other unique mode I was thinking of is called balance. Its a take on a game with reinforcements, only everytime you kill your teams reinforcements go up one, and everytime you die they go down one. This will make for a game where momentum is everything.

I also want to have regular deathmatch, and both regular and team last man standing.

Every god will have 3 or 4 weapons, most of them different, and a couple of powers based on their counterparts. They will all have different starting stats and armor.
