I wonder why people don't like us. I mean, I am also a mess-up mod creator.
i don't think "mod creator" means making **** reskins of the original models
Updated: Well, you do have a point, just, that you had to put it in such impolite manner (which I wouldn't recommend.) However "Mess-up mod" doesn't even have to be with only the said "reskins", as practice has proven from work. It can be with stolen content, or some original work as well. It can contain solely original work that just runs Half-Life levels. Update: And much more.
People miss the point about "modding" in general, it's all about fun and accomplishment, I mean this was my first ever "mod" if you will and I felt proud and happy each and every day when I worked on it. Hell I even voice acted some of the lines but yes people do see it as a **** mod nonetheless but in the end it's a modification to the game hence the word "mod"
Here's the main problem
This website is clogged with these "crack-life inspired" Half-Life reskins
I can see why people complaining about these mods and a couple of the creators of these types of mods seems can't handle tiniest bit of criticism and attacking people for criticising their "mod"
If you wanna make a messup mod, at least put effort to it like creating new maps and even new weapons and enemies as Crack-Life Campaign Mode and Anniversary did
That was initially the plan, and I actually did mess up/improved some factors of the game in the finished state believe it or not. I was thinking of making a seperate story line, now that I think of it I might just redo this mod again but in HL2 or in Alyx (If possible) but that will happen when i'm not busy. And I did not know that the authors of such mods were attacking their critics, now that in my opinion is straight up ******** and deserves a thumbs down.
