DoomGuy vs. The Daleks is a semi-joke/novelty mod for Classic DOOM that replaces all the enemies in the game with dalek variants from the world of Doctor Who, and is the first mod I've ever made for any game. Ever. Please be gentle! Most of the sprites were made using Dalek figurines I've collected and taken photographs of.

The zip file contains another version of the mod that gives more correct compatibility for Final Doom and Doom II megawads. The standard WAD file for the mod should be fine with Doom 1 megawads due to the lack of "altered maps" for I made for Doom 1. One thing you need to be wary of is WADs with enemy replacements as this is an enemy replacement mod too and that may cause a problem or two down the line.

Although I primarily made this mod for my own amusement, I do hope you enjoy playing it as much as I've
enjoyed making it... With moments of joy and enlightenment, and a few headaches along the way.

- Completely harmless and doesn't count as a kill, because he is your friend.

I did a thing .. I noticed too late that these poor guy just wanted to give me some tea .. and I murdered them all .

Would be awesome if there was a way to make the mod work with this maplack . Dbp 14 . And I'll check if it works with the other dbp mappacks too . Those are perfect for a dimension hopping video or playthrough .

Hey there.. the new version is awesome!
I have a question. The sprites are HD or something close to HD. Is there any chance you could
A. Make your mod compatible with either FIREWORKS.pk3 (that's a gore mod changing blood into sparks. Which all have dynamic light sources looking quite awesome)
Or with FX ENHANCEMENTs. Both changing FX effects of explosions. The matter already changes some of the attack effects of your daleks.
Question I'm asking, I'm all about coherent mod pack experiences. And fitting styles is one of the most important things in that.
The ONLY issue with your mod I have is these low Res explosions. I'm sure they are great for performance and should remain for everyone not having a good rig. But could you maybe make a version where the explosions of the daleks is also HD ? That would be absolutely fantastic. And if you really wanna go all out, give them parts which fly off and land on the ground. Like the weapon or the head. That would be so fantastic.

Please continue with this awesome mod. Now we need a TARDIS and London mappack

Works awesome . Even changes the non vanilla enemies . I thought the tea bringing ones are nice and not enemies . Fixing Wath the wrong word . More changing the hundreds of Sui**de bomber enemies which normally spawn into attacking DALEKS .

Or do I get something wrong m I haven't watched a lot of Dr who . Are the tea guys really friendly or are they those from the show where Churchill got them as "allies" until they betrayed him and started to attack ?

The latter is correct! The tea serving daleks (or "Ironsides" as they're called in the DW episode) replace the Wolf3D SS Guards in Doom II, and after taking a look at DBP14 I found out that kamikaze zombies in that mod replace the SS Guards as well. So that's why there's 200 daleks offering you TEEEEEEEAAAA in that first map

If there is any chance . Could you write a small 2kb patch which changes the Nazis to imps ? ( The equivalent of those in your mod)
