Are you still active with this game? Can you help or give any ideas how to modify database.bin files?? I download EGO database editor (v12 did not work, but I got v11 working) ...I want to change Car, Track, and difficulty choices but not sure where to begin
-1-
how do I edit the car selection available in Multiplayer? specifically Demolition Derby?? I download Any Car Any Track mod, but it uses old database.bin file... so I need to copy changes from database.bin file into your mod, but I have no clue how to use EGO database editor
-2-
I play with my uncle using LAN and he cannot edit files like this, so I need things organized cleanly for him... I also wonder if its possible to completely remove Basic and Normal difficulty settings?? so my uncle does not "accidentally" decrease the difficulty (lol)
-3-
I download several popular mods and combined them (like Broskis & AnyCarAnyTrack) but not everything works unless I switch database.bin files, so I plan on digging into EGO database editor much deeper... if I can learn how to use EGO database editor, maybe we can collaborate on further improving the game?? do u plan on releasing v2.4 eventually?
-4-
I will keep working on this for long time, but I want to get it all setup for my uncle soon and Xtra v2.4 needs improvements... so Ill let you know if I make any progress with EGO database editor, do you have discord? any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

Is it normal when updating the mod to not be able to load saves made with older versions of the mod? I can't be bothered restarting the career again lol

Can someone explain to me why I can't drive some of the DLC cars in my career and AI drivers can? I also encountered a problem when selecting a car, there are empty tiles where the car should be and when I click on the buy option the game immediately crashes probably there should be some cars from the DLC which my game doesn't load. Do you know how I can solve this problem?

Hi dude, it's me again lol, right off the bat I have spotted a few rather minor issues/possible improvements imo so I'll get right into them:
-The 4 Firebirds in the first Classic Muscle events either have the same livery (all 4 of them) or they have very similar liveries (and im just blind lmao), I suggest changing/adding one into a bit more distinct colour pattern (like this example: Pinterest.com)
- The opponent GTO turned Pro Tuned car already has a few minor issues which I have taken screenshots of after encountering it in the first Japan event (Touge), I can send you them on discord or through a dropbox or sth (let me know in a reply), but to summarize:
> the model is missing the rear window
> the After Mix Livery (not sure if others) ended up all broken/not working, the car was black and depending on the angle decals appeared out of place and probably mostly incorrect anyways (slanted Fidanza logos on the rear bumper)
> the wheels were all colorful for some reason which leads me to believe the wheel texture might be screwed up a bit too
> the remaining windows (front and sides) had two different shades in a horizontal striped pattern (kinda like some window shutters)
- As for the feedback on player-used GTO, the car is pretty much faultless, the handling feels pretty snappy but not to a driftcar point, it's relatively fast managing to catch up to the Viper, the player livery is without issues but I guess that's mostly due to model port, overall pretty decent car (also speaking of the GTO my next car suggestion would have to be the Charger or the RX-7, I mean the RX7 is self-explanatory and who wouldn't want to swing that American boat around a track)
- Having completed the Demo Derby Championship, it's been remade very very well however my game crashed after Race 2 and Race 4 (the game saved itself both times so no progression lost, I think it may be due to the game believing the whole event is supposed to last only 2 races, dunno tho)
- During 24 Hours of Le Mans I squeezed a rival in a Porsche to the left barrier on the long straight between the "chicanes" and the rival's car phased into the barrier and fell outside the map into the void (I have screenshots for that as well, not sure if this is something worth noting but I'd rather just say it; apparently he finished anyways, somehow)
- The broken glass texture on the Volvo C30 is atrocious, literally looks like spray cheese on the windows but blue, makes it kinda difficult to drive in 1st person
- I may have encountered a MAJOR ISSUE, I bought a Jaguar XKR GT3 off Ebay, entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans with it and was the ONLY car on the grid, there were no opponents and the race went as if everything was fine, the same happens with GT2 Endurance events, one car (my Jaguar) on the grid and in the standings
-The. V8. Supercars. The weight difference between you and AI is sickening and beyond frustrating, the cars absolutely do not feel the same weight no matter whether it's the Falcon or the Commodore, the AI feels like a Dodge Challenger while my car is a Viper, unfortunately only in terms of weight. AI is too heavy and even little taps from them (usually while braking earlier e.g at Bathurst because I don't have it mastered) results in being spun out, same issue with overtaking in pretty much any turn, one small bump and you're turned around and most likely out of contention. AI can PIT-manuever you at will and in return they feel absolutely indifferent to your pushes unless you literally slam into/T-bone them full speed. Please make sure the weight is around the same for both player and AI, because I'm losing hair and sanity over the V8 Supercars championship.
-Another probably MAJOR issue: the Drift GP in the Global tier seems to suffer from a bug causing every driver to get either 5,555,555 or 6,666,666 points, no matter whether you're racing them or the race went between AI, the number 8,333,333 also appeared but I highly doubt that was an intended score.
(TBC) - (I will keep going as I'm early into my save, but should I find anything more I will edit my comment, cheers; so far I'm really happy with 2.3 otherwise, the AI and Drift events are finally a challenge :) )
The car weight problem is really an issue with the game's collision system, only that it's more noticeable on V8 Supercars due to lower speeds and worse traction(which is why even small taps will give a spin-out).From my observations hits to the rear-quarter part of the car will most of the times make you bounce off(which is why it's very effective when divebombing)but any touch to the rear bumper will immediately destabilise the car.I guess it's the way it is to prevent ramming the AI but not the other way around.
As for the Drift scores:I assume the game has problems correctly scaling the points for each round which is why you may sometimes encounter both opponents having the same score in a round or scoring lower than the round before. However I did not encounter the AI getting scores like 5,555,555 or 6,666,666.On which track did it happen?
It happened in the Global Drift GP event on Shibuya Hachiko Drift Circuit, I was driving the Corolla if that's of any help or importance
The Firebirds do indeed use the same livery since that's the only one that comes with the DLC(will make some new ones for this as well as other cars that only have one).As for the broken GTO textures...I forgot to rename the texture files to match the car's internal name (pgt). You can go into the game files and rename them yourself so it should no longer appear broken.
Sure, will do, thanks a lot (for anyone else looking for an explained solution, in your Grid folder go to cars -> pgt -> livery_aftermix then change the name of both files within the two folders from gto_ to pgt_)
