This mod contains Quake 2 world and model textures upscaled using ESRGAN and the Manga109Attempt model.
This mod also provides upscaled bright player skins from nQuake2, making it suitable for competitive play.
Requirements
- A source port that supports PNG images such as Q2PRO or Yamagi Quake 2.
Installation
- Download the latest release, extract the ZIP archive and place the PKZ files in your Quake 2 installation's baseq2 directory.
- Yamagi Quake 2 only: Rename the downloaded file's extension from `.pkz` to `.zip`. Otherwise, Yamagi Quake 2 won't load the mod.
- Run the game and enjoy :)

It's enough to change file extension to .pk3 and put it in baseq2 directory.
Currently replaying Q2 but want the most vanilla experience possible using Yamagi. Since this is just an upscale of original textures I think it will go nicely with my run. Thanks.
