Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

This simple landing pad receives periodic shipments of supplies by air, which can be collected by any combatant instantly, without needing to capture and hold any facility.
This one lacks a lore. Could be someone discontent with the way local militaries run Tech Supply Drop Pads trying to cut the middle man.
Not every thing -needs- lore. For these tech buildings in particular, a straightforward, mostly function-oriented description with only a bit of world building where suitable made more sense because for one, we anticipated that people would not be as interested in these as they are in faction content anyway and second, neutral buildings like these than can appear on any map, for use by players of any faction, are best treated with a degree of ambiguity.
Them dropshippers are really getting out of hand...
Without the need to capture it? Hoo, that's gonna need some adequate defenses to protect it tooth and nail from enemy forces seeking to acquire it instantly.
