StormDrift mod for Alien Swarm

It has been a rainy day. Just like every other day this week. What made it different? Something that changed the world. In Prague it was kinda normal. It wasn’t much of a rain, but people hated it anyway.Well, it was not that late in the evening when it happened. A huge explosion at the outskirts of the city. There were few warehouses. But no-one knew what’s inside. Or to be precise, under it. Corporation [Insert corp name here] had a small private lab build in there.Their main priority were mind control experiments. But under unknown circumstances the main generator powering the facility has gone unstable and blew up. This explosion unfortunately merged with one of their experiments and created so called “The Storm”.The Storm is both of a thing and person. It is a conscious entity made of energy, but it’s corrupted. Its power slowly grew and it took control over the whole city. Immediately it started to corrupt minds of people inside the city, making them go crazy.Whole city was quarantined in mere days. No-one could enter or leave the city. Everyone had to wear hazmat suits because of radiation. Radiation also made things worse, because people started to mutate. Mutations were terrible combined with powers of “The Storm”. It created several types of strange living things we now call Mutants. Some of them can tear whole cars apart meanwhile others can become temporarily invisible.Those people who were turned into mindless freaks were the lucky ones. People whose brains were in suspended state, like being in coma or sleeping were not affected. They actually awoke to a great disaster. Most of them got killed by what now lives in the city, but there are still few surviving people.Even tho soldiers had their orders to not let anyone in or out, some of them decided to risk their lives and ventured into destroyed city to save the remaining people.
