1.0's release was not up to par. This update should hopefully fix quite a number of issues with the initial release. Unfortunately, this update does come with some oddities:
1. Potential crash on level 4
- I am pretty sure I fixed/mitigated this, but there is a possibility that the game will crash at the start of level 4. This happened to me once during testing and I was unable to recreate it, so I had to sort of just guess the reason for it.
2. Potential material oddity on level 1
- Once, for no apparent reason, the console gave errors about "$glint" on Quinton's eyes, causing them to display as missing. This issue has never been recreated.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed game displaying Half-Life 2's loading screen on startup
- Fixed King Combinacle's crown material being broken
- Fixed Gorbo Freemonger's suit material being broken
- Fixed the snowman outside the Cabin not functioning as intended
- Fixed doors in the Pump n Run spewing errors in the console
- Fixed a crash when loading into level 5 from level 4 (I really hope)
Asset Removals:
- Removed Lost Coast assets
- Removed broken Combine Soldier animations that were causing crash (I hope)
- Removed assets from the custom folder
Additions:
- Added Steam icons
- Added some automatically generated files such as sound caches to hopefully reduce the chance of crashing
- Added a failsafe to the autoexec that ensures that all levels are unlocked by default
Etc:
- Overhauled file structure to decreased decompression time (Files are now inside a vpk file instead of loose)
- Refactored Gameinfo.txt
