Yo! Time for another devlog!
This week, we want to tell you more about the forest that will represent the environment of the game.
Alright, let's go!
Fauna and Flora
In the last devlog, we talked about the forest where Raven and Lilith seeked refuge. As in any other forest, this complex ecosystem has lots of different organisms living in it. While most of them are irrelevant for the story, some flowers here can be used to cast spells.
Here are a few notable ones:
- Acelga-Brava (Beta maritima): This plant, also known as wild beet, has vibrant green leaves that are not only edible but also possess magical properties. In our game, its leaves can be used in levitation spells.
- Ansarina Branca (Chenopodium album): Known as lamb's quarters, this common weed has leaves that are rich in nutrients. In the game, it's used in wind spells.
- Aderno Bravo (Rhamnus alaternus): Kniw as hardy shrub, has berries that can be toxic if consumed raw. However, when prepared correctly, they can be used to spell an ivisibility spell.
- Alho Bravo (Allium sphaerocephalon): Also known as wild garlic, this plant's bulb has a strong, pungent smell. In the game, it can be mixed with other flowers to create a teleportation spell.
- Chagas (Tropaeolum majus): Commonly known as nasturtium, its bright, colorful flowers can be mixed with other flowers to create illumination spells.
In the next dev log we will talk more about each spell and what they do!
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to develop the enchanting world of Raven and Lilith!
