DISCLAIMER: THIS MOD IS STILL A WIP, EXPECT BUGS OR OTHER THINGS HERE.
THERE IS NO SKIRMISH AI FOR THIS NEW FACTION, SO DON'T CHOOSE THEM IN SKIRMISH AS AN OPPONENT THINKING THEY'LL WORK!!! I MAY MAKE A SEPARATE MOD FOR THAT IN THE FUTURE CUZ I NEED TO REPLACE A FACTION FOR A SKIRMISH AI TO WORK, AND IM NOT AXING THE CIVILIAN FACTION.
PLEASE NOTE: This mod was mostly meant for PVE, but PVP could be possible with this mod. It may not be recommended, but I would love to see some gameplay footage on it!
DISCLAIMER: before you go whining to me that the Ivory Specters faction is too OP, thats kinda their purpose tbh. As this game is mostly PVE focused. Game balancing isn't my strong suit, and this mod was for my personal use ONLY to make the game more fun for me, but i felt generous and decided to give it out to the public to see what they think about it. You're free to decompile the mod and make balance changes as you see fit, BUT, i wouldn't recommend that if you wanna play online with others in this mod.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
Extract the Data, Maps, and Art folders, plus the ControlBarPro BIG files, into your main C&C Generals Zero Hour Directory, as well as the Install_Final.bmp.
Oh and don't forget to back up those folders and Install_Final.bmp you're about to replace too as precaution due to the mod files not being big files yet. There is no launcher for this mod as well since i have no idea how to make one for it.
WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH THE IVORY SPECTERS???
ALL Generals Challenge maps are compatible with the Ivory Specters. Plus the maps have been altered too to make playing on them more fun on harder difficulties. You may find some hidden eastereggs and secrets within the somewhat revamped GC maps, a time-traveling nuclear companion will sometimes lend you his aid in the battles!
I decided to leave the vanilla zero hour campaigns intact and still playable, nothing much needs to be changed there unless i want to make those maps prettier, fix up some issues, add easterggs, or give them some more civilian stuff.
Someday in the future, i'll make an official campaign map pack for this mod to supplement that as i've tried numerous times and failed to do that via through the menu and replacing and editing maps, so i'll make it being in the skirmish menu as maps you can add to your game.
Anyway there could be some easter-eggs here and there in some voice lines i took from other games that sounded perfect for an RTS unit, as well as guest appearances of my own shitty voice for some voices of units, a major one being the Ivory Specter "Hero Unit", Doug White. (Should change his voice sometime... sounds cringe.)

CHANGES FOR THE IVORY SPECTER FACTION
Global Ivory Specter Faction changes:
- - CLEARLY LABLED THE IVORY SPECTER FACTION THAT DOESN'T HAVE A SKIRMISH AI IN SKIRMISH MENU!!!
- (Altho i didn't get any complaints from it, i might as well make it very clear that the Ivory Specters are incompatible for Skirmish AI cuz i wanna keep the original 12 factions playable and keep the civillian faction and not remove one of them (which the civillian faction is often axed for a playable extra AI.))
- - FINALLY FIXED THE COMMANDCENTERS NOT HAVING A RALLYPOINT FUNCTIONALITY!!! HOORAY!!! :D
- (They spawn a dummy commandcenter which has a deletion update attached to it, and when that "building" gets "destroyed" it spawns in a functional copy of the commandcenter as a "Death OCL". thus making it function w/rallypoints.)
- (Only bug it has is that units freely pass through the building as if it weren't there at all. But thats a sacrifice im willing to make to make it all work out and improve the quality of the mod.)
- - Also adjusted the layout of buttons on the Command Cube's commandset and altered their tooltip text as well.
- - The Spy Sattelite Hack upgrades are now for all Ivory subfactions; Both the Groundforce Radar Station and Specialforce Radar Van carry the upgrades in new commandsets.
- - Adjusted veterancy numbers and exp gain numbers of several Ivory Specter units to be more in-line with the vet-slog and exp-boons that were in the units of the Ivory Airforce.
- - Ivory Stinger Soldiers have some new voicelines in better quality.
- - Buffed the Ivory Footmen's weapon's range and also changed's it's weapon's sound too.
- - Made the Footman's guard range and shroud-clearing range the same as the Partisans.
- - changed the text on the load screen of what they have.
- - Added new music track to the Ivory Specters Skirmish game
- - Altered unit costs and build times of various units.
Ivory Airforce:
- - Buffed the Comanche's weapon's range, damage and payload. (same goes for all US Comanches too since they share the same weapons)
- - Anti tank rockets increased from four to six
- - Much larger rocket pod attack payload, plus faster ROF. Increased Damage and Range on it too.
- - Adjusted the commandset's button placement of the Ivory Airforce Warfactory.
- - EXPERIMENTAL: Changed the AI Update of the Ivory Amphbious Transport to an AssaultTransportAIUpdate to where it'll act like the Chinese Troop Crawler and evac passengers to attack targets for more dynamic amphbious invasions. also heavily nerfed the unit deployment speed of the transport so units get out one by one slowly. May change in the future.
- - Gave it a unique "Deploy Attack" Voice Line.
- - Increased it's cost and decreased it's build time.
- - Fixed up the Ivory Hover MLRS voice lines.
- - Changed the Hover MLRS's Weapon fire sound
- - Subject to change: a unique placeholder voiceset for the Ivory Airforce Helix to diffrentiate it from the Chinese Helixes, the voice may not sound good, so i could use a replacement.
- - Ivory Airforce Helixes now use unique copies of the Helix buildings. The Gattling Cannon has similar attributes like the Ivory Groundforce Gattling Tank, and the Speaker Tower upgrade has a large range and visible radii like the Groundforce Speaker Tower and Attack Troop Crawler.
- - Added new cameo for the Ivory Airforce Helix
- - Increased Ivory Airforce Internet Center's unit capacity from 8 hackers to 10
- - Removed the rallypoint functionality of the Ivory Airforce Airfield finally since it doesn't use it for spawning helicopters/drones that the Helipad is used for such things.
- - Altered the Ivory Airforce Hacker's tooltip description to denote he can climb cliffs.
- - Altered particle systems of the damaged and movement model conditionstates for the Comanche and changed's the place where it launches it's anti tank missiles and missile pod barrage
- - Altered the death sequence of the rocketeer unit as a cool detail where it flings off a dead pilot when killed when it's not a veteran. Rocketeers with veterency will still parachute an alive pilot.
Ivory Groundforce:
- - NEW UNIT: Ivory Groundforce Flame Trooper Infantry. Carry's a flamethrower for attack, can be hoarded and can be upgraded with black napalm. Easy anti garrison for transports. (May get rid of it's firewall ability since it doesn't turn to spread a flame.) Only downside to this unit is that it blows up into a large black napalm firestorm when killed in certain ways.
- - Added Toxin Shells Upgrade to the Scorpion tank.
- - Fixed the scorpion missile's slowness and made the missile fly much faster. It Can now reliably attack aircraft now. Made it also to where they can attack large balistic missiles from Tomahawks and SCUD Launchers.
- - Possibly fixed Mammoth Tank Missile turret's missile weapons from attacking the wrong target types, dunno if it's fixed tho. :P
- - Changed the Ivory Groundforce's APC gun's sound fx to diffrentiate it.
- - Added Weapons Grade Uranium Shells upgrade to the Strategy Center to boost it's damage whilst in Bombardment mode. (Also messed with it's turret's coding, should mess with it some more and make it reflect ALL FACTION Strategy centers.)
- - Increased the unit capacity from 6 units to 8 units for the Ivory Groundforce Radar Station. Also comes with spy sat hack upgrades.
- - Changed Mammoth tank build times from a miniute to 45 seconds.
- - Slightly increased range of the Groundforce Partisan's shotgun weapon and made it deal more damage.
- - Actually fixed Leopard tank's extra autoloader ammo upgrade so it properly now fires it's 8-shot burst. Damn my ADHD for not noticing this alot sooner. :P
Ivory Specialforce:
- - Gave the Ivory Specialforce Partisan a toggleable 3-shot burst anti-armor Grenade launcher secondary. It's like a mini moartar.
- (May lock it behind an upgrade and nerf the weapon in the future)
- - Changed the Raider's weapon fire sfx to be different than the Sentry Drones and Pillboxes
- - Made the Ivory Specialforce Scorpion APC more effective against aircraft via adding the anti-air missile weapon of the Groundforce Scorpion Tank.
- - Buffed it's main cannon's damage too. Made it also to where they can attack large balistic missiles from Tomahawks and SCUD Launchers.
- - Gave it a unique "Deploy Attack" Voice Line same as the amphibious transport's.
- - Changed the Controlbar title hotkey for the "Scorpion Tank" and gave it's it's current new title of "Scorpion APC".
- - Made it where Attack Cycles can attack large balistic missiles of Tomahawks and Scud Launchers.
- - Gave the Attack Cycles unique copies of the Comanche's weapons for clarification.
- - decreased unit build times for Attack Cyclesand modified cost.
- - Altered particle systems of the damaged and movement model conditionstates for the Attack Cycle
- - Gave the Radar Van spy sat hack upgrades.
- - Changed the Ivory Sniper's tooltip hotkey from N to I to avoid accidentally purchasing the camo netting upgrade.
OTHER FACTION CHANGES
- - Gave the USA Laser General functional laser Paladins (They actually do build them in Skirmish too!), functional laser rangers which can attack aircraft as well, and functional Laser Burton whom can ALSO attack aircraft too.
- Gave back the Laser general's Laser Cannon Building as well and slightly improved it. Plus gave it's "fire laser cannon from shortcut" button to the Laser General.
- - Also changed the looks of the lasers this faction fires
- - Laser General now starts with Laser Paladin
- - Made it so Super Weapon general now starts with pathfinder alongside her starting with the Stealth Fighter and Paladin. Subsequently removed pathfinder button from her GP purchase Menu.
- - Added custom button images for the Cruise Missile commands
- - Edited skirmish scripts so ALL FACTIONS can now utilize tech paradrops if they capture an tech airport, plus made them able to capture other tech buildings as well.
- - Also improved unit target type reconition in their object lists to tell Ivory Specter units and buildings into their objectlists.
- - Made ALL FACTION Engineers have their abilities listed more better to tell they can build and repair buildings, clear mines and explosives, and can climb cliffs.
- - buffed the "supply base builds" of the vanilla USA GLA and China Skirmish AI's to build other buildings (it's a bit buggy) and more defenses around supply piles.
- - Added ending surrending qoutes for the other generals much like the suerrender quotes from the vanilla factions in skirmish.
- - buffed the missile's flying lifetime for all chinese tankhunters's weapons.
OTHER GAME CHANGES AND ADDITIONS
- - Added Ivory Specter Units and Buildings to the objectlists of the Generals Challenge maps so they can trigger specific AI dialogue responses or attack certain targets.
- - Added a Ivory Specter-themed intro to the Nuke General's GC map, No longer is it just a rehashing of the USA Factions Intro.
- - added a map.ini to the Super Weapon general's challenge map that heavily nerf's General Alexander's Aurora Alphas.
- (and technically your own if you're playing the mirror match as General Alexander or the Ivory Airforce).
- - Changed how the easter-egg script is handled in Thrax's GC map and added a bridge to the island for better ease of accsess.
- - Added Mirrior matches to the other GC campaigns for the other factions that have them.
- - Changed the Ivory Specters to have their own unique GC loading screen intro annoucement and info, and changed their save-game titles to "Conquest Challenge" or something.
- - Remastered the Generals Challenge annoucment lines.
- - changed the loading screen music themes for the factions
- - Loudened the fire and toxin death noises of all factions, and added the previously-Ivory-specter-exclusive screams to them. Added same screams to the civillian death sounds.
- - Finally fixed the Ivory Specters EVA not notifying of enemy scud storm luanch events.
- - Added functional "Building lost" EVA event to all faction EVAs.
- - Changed the death sound of drones dying to sound more electronic.
- - Added custom font for Building percentages, tooltip popups, military breifing captions and system messages.
