I'll rate this mod 10. I had perhaps the most satisfying, epic battle on my whole Total War career. Defending one of the 2 starting castles of the Kingdom of Daggerfall in the Three Banners War campaign. I actually thought I would have lost but I wanted to deal as many casualties as possible first. We were 485 defenders against 2985 enemies, a very high skilled general, I don't know their faction name, it was an army with 1 unit of necromancers, 2 units of mages, the rest were silver rank skeleton warriors, archers and zombies. I had 2 units of pikemen, 2 of light cav and the general unit, all with no experience. After lot of action in which the pikemen held their ground against hordes of skeletons and necromancers blasting part of my unit before their general charge and the cavalry conducted several charges, some enemy units managed to sneak past the choke point and managed to run to conquer the main fortress point (actually it was a castle with stone walls, nothing much, there was no boiling oil at the gates nor towers doing anything)

I couldn't pursue them coz I couldn't spare any unit to chase and defeat them. At some point I've sent the most exausted and weakened cavalry unit in their pursuit and I managed to kill them off. At the end of the battle, fought near to the victory point, 12 general bodyguards, including the general himself who conducted his unit in countless charges, all soaked in blood and 1 single light cavalrymen, stood atop the pile of dead bodies. They were victorious. An Heroic victory indeed. The enemy, lost it's general and ALL their men. It was amazing! Just brilliant. Shame I didn't save the replay but I've made a screenshot of the battle results

Bellum Crucis Enhanced All-in-One

Mod review

I previously gave this mod 10/10 because the mod is grand and the guy who uploaded this did us all a favour to unite all files in 1.

Yet when I started doing land battles with Byzantines, gamebreaking issues aroused. I thought it was the original mod fault but it's not. Or at least the mod is known to be buggy and somewhat unstable but technically this mod should fix stuff or improve them since it's "Enhanced" instead game crashes so many times during battles that it almost made me uninstall Medieval 2, I crashed no less than 10 times in different battles against cumans and turks.

A youtuber and friend who plays the Bellum Crucis original mod is making a whole series these weeks and he didn't report a single crash to me while I'm instead plagued by random CTD's during battles, never played such an unstable mod. I thought mercenaries were creating the crashes but no even without them land battles crash like a charm. Unplayable. This version isn't an improvement at all sadly. I have a gaming PC, the 4GB patch and the battles i've played weren't even huge, it's the mod being unstable asf

J'ay Emprins (1465)

Mod review

I loved Knights the last battle mod but sadly it was a bit outdated by 2023.

This standalone submod is a superb, solid and over-all better improvement.

10/10 I'm loving it!
