Hey guys Half-Life Walter one year anniversary is coming up pretty soon so I thought it would be fun to look at all the cut maps from Walters history.
Since the WON update of Half-Life the version of Spirit of Half-Life is outdated and Walter runs on sprit.

this is the Half life Walter FINALE intro demo this is the last version of the intro/demo of the first chapter

Played the post-incident demo and experience was alright, I want to list some constructive criticism that you could maybe use for the next demo. 1. the lighting feels rushed. some areas have lots of light in areas while other places make it impossible to see. 2. pacing feels unbalanced, Some areas were a breeze to go through and jump through and then at the next part I had to go super slow while shooting at xen controllers. 3. kind of goes with pacing but the map is super short in all, took about 5 minutes to get though a single chapter, might just be a part of the demo but it also goes along with chapter 1 demo that took 30 seconds just to complete chapter 1. 5. I didn't really know where to go when I was going through the map, there was no sense of direction and I got lost fairly a lot throughout the map. 5. This part is mostly going to be story concerns, because the story doesn't feel connected or fleshed out at all. like when in the first chapter you get a crowbar, but when the second chapter starts its just gone, and how you just somehow get a flashlight at the beginning of the second chapter when you never had one before just feels out of place. Finally the map, the map isn't really that bad, maybe it just needs some more noise and objects to make it really feel like a science laboratory, that's bout it. Take this criticism however you want to. I just wanted to state my own concerns throughout playing. Still a good mod tho its better than id ever do.
Yoo, here is another Walter series. This mod is short and sweet as usual. Xash3D and WON case, it doesn't support this mod but Steam should be perfect compatible.
I'll leave my thoughts here and keep it tight.
Regarding the Post Incident Demo: Another pretty solid map.
One suggestion, if you don't mind, would be to add some background audio. Everything felt a little quiet, and some noises going on would help a LOT.
Otherwise, it's a fairly competent map that was pretty decently made, had some nice variety and was surprisingly fun to blast through. Good job!

The new demo (FINALE intro demo) is pretty well made. Shame it's over in 30 seconds.
(No, really, it's one map that I ran through in under a minute.)
While I get that the author is excited to show off what they've made - and to be clear, this one map IS good - when it's so short, I don't come away with much of an impression.
I hope that the next release, if there is one, is longer than one map.
thanks for playing i wanted to push out something small to have some thing out before the post incident maps come out because there probably going to come out in late October early November and nothing has come out in month for Walter but that is my own fault.
