this mod is the Portal 1 version of Portal 2 - Ultra Graphics Mod 2021... there is no graphics mod for portal 1, so i decided to make one, also because someone asked me to make one for portal 1, also if your concerned about how big the download file is, dont be, this mod REVAMPS EVERYTHING, including lighting. This changes textures, models, cubemaps, blah blah blah, stuff the casual gamer wouldnt understand. How to install Portal 1 - Ultra Graphics Mod
NOTE: I dont have a mac. I dont know if it works on mac. I do not support mac.
1. Extract the .zip file you downloaded from this page. if you get a folder called "Portal" thats good.
(download is in the files section, Files - Portal 1 - Ultra Graphics Mod click on the newest version, then click on the download button, you will get a .zip file)
2. Go t
o your steam directory. (for me thats C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam)
3. Click on the folder "steamapps" then drag the "Portal" in common
4. REPLACE, REPLACE, REPLACE! (if windows asks you to replace files)
5. Go on Portal 1, then press the "HOME" key, if you see a bar saying ReshadePreset click on it and use Graphix2021.
6. Enjoy your 2007 game get a taste of the future.
7. Press the END key on your keyboard to toggle the effects.
Hotkeys:
HOME: Change reshade preset
END: Toggle reshade preset
DEL: Toggle ADOF (Depth Of Field)
INS: Performance Mode

Hey there, I am currently struggling with the subtitles being way too large after adding everything to the game files. Is there something I need to remove or change to bring back the smaller subtitles? I am playing on a 1080p monitor if that helps. Thanks!

Bruh i'm getting 30fps on RTX 3060 Ti on 4k view and my pc burn using 100% ram and 100% ssd i dont recommend using this mod
