I know, but wait ultil you see the heavier Kataphraktoi and ships which are being redone.

I was wondering if you could help me? I have 3 sets of siege machines which need animating - I have the renders but I haven't completed neither them nor their handlers. If you can help let me know. The siege machines will however won't be making an appearance in Rise of Kings .... just yet.

Looking back at the Galloglaich, they look pretty ugly and out of place. I might create a Gallo-Byzantine look for them pretty soon, though.

Description

Today is a great day for mediaeval history buffs and fetishists of all things that are Roman and descended from them (be they German or Greek).

Here we have the retooled Byzantine army (albeit without advanced cataphract cavalry or "Pronoiaroi". The Byzantine land army is the most powerful in the Dark Age, but suffers from a few defects - the first is that like Orthodox factions they are incapable of raising the more advanced but costlier Centralisation units available to most Christian factions. The second is that their infantry can't be upgraded, but given how powerful they are, would you really care?

(Clockwise from left: Galloglaich; Composite Bowmen; Spathatoi; Byzantine Duke (patriot); Light Cavalry; Genoese Crossbowmen; Scholarii; Kontaratoi)
