i deleted the whole game, reinstalled again - and voilá!
looks like something went wrong with the first extraction.
i downloaded it today. everything's there.
the game starts fine, but after starting a new game the game freezes and i get the "498" error in the background.
the game hangs on the "creating a new game..." screen with different errors.

hallo, any way to translate the japanese dynamic news messages too?
i thought if i replace the translated japanese words with english words in the necessary "news"script files will turn the news messages to english but it wont't work.
is this mod evolved from the "shoc weapon reposition and polish v2" (or something like that) mod?

by the way the new open scopes are awesome but wouldn't be possible to blur/darken the screen area outside the scopes even more with a filter somehow?

UPDATE: i fixed it. there was a missing "then" word in the 80th line of the xr_box.script file.
i found one mixture in the kamaz truck outside the rostok area.
also there is a doc too who gives you 2 mixtures as far as i remember.
yes it happens after several reloadings, also cam inert setting resets back to zero too.
reloading a game after death always reset few of my settings in user.ltx.
set write protection on the file doesn't help.

hola, when i'm skinning mutants the camera literally clipping into the bodies, also goes below ground level, anybody knows how to avoid that?

i found out coc's lod is what gives huge boost in performance, is there a way to use coc levels only but with anomaly textures?

yes it's possible, with a few exceptions.
look for your weapon config file in the gamedata\configs\weapons folder.
open it, then look for the line "scope_zoom_factor".
setting it to "scope_zoom_factor = 100" completely removes ADS zoom from the weapons.

i found a bug, if i enable the "Enable PDA Map in Jammed Areas" mod the "Guide to the Zone" tab won't open in my pda.
i can't imagine DA without this mod anymore.
at many places stalkers dont respawn after they were killed, why is that?
for example in agroprom i have to fight against dozens of dogs always but not a single wandering stalker there to help me.
