Mayhem Mansion, you explore a haunted mansion full of giant disembodied lips, TV with legs, angry books, and other things trying to kill you for no reason whatsoever, but don't worry because you have your trusty weaponry and magic!
Who doesn't like a good dose of obscure and weird Doom mods.
I'll get the positives out of the way, since there's quite a few despite the many other flaws present in this mod. The art style is fairly pleasing and the enemy designs are creative. The weapons, for the most part, also feel satisfying as all hell and are well designed. The music ranges from "meh" to "holy **** this is amazing" and fits the nature of this mod well. However, it's not all amazing.
This mod does everything it can to overwhelm and cripple you, in the most forced ways imaginable. For instance, you don't get any weapons except a limited number of bomb in Level 4 until halfway through and your ability to jump is taken from you right at the start of Level 5.
About halfway through the mod it starts throwing enemies at you from all sides, with increasing intensity and frequency as you progress.
The difficulty selection is also a joke since Easy only makes enemies slightly easier to kill (trolls take 2 arrows to kill rather than 3 in Normal) and slightly reduces the amount of them.
While I was able to complete levels 1 through 3 prior to writing this review, as well completing level 4 about 75% and starting level 5, the levels I finished took me around an hour to complete, level 4 took me 2 hours to get to my current state, and I've given up on level 5 for now. This is a long one, so grab a cup of coffee before diving in.
A brilliant linear adventure full of mazes, variety of cartoony monsters and collectable items. The art and game design seems me to old 90s DOS games. I like the improvement of the specific weakness for one of your weapons to any monster. The lengh of all adventure takes me about 3 hours and have a satisfying final battle

Watched a stream on this on vinesauce. Looks pretty good to me.
Feels like completely new game. Reminds me a Killing Time, Po'ed and Escape From Monster Manor. Some resources from Deathkeep.
