28th of August 1914. Your name is Ulrich Winter, a young German who signed up to fight for your country. You're aboard the SMS Cöln, a light cruiser ship, when superior British forces attack, sinking the cruiser. You and a dozen other men board a cutter boat, only for it to sink from heavy fire and debris. As you descend into the water, all the noise is silenced. You clutch the ruby amulet your grandfather gifted to you as a young boy. Then, you hear a beautiful song coming from the dark murky depths. In a trance, you let yourself descend into the dark water. Just before you realize that you're about to drown, you wake up in a strange new world.
The mod is not anywhere close to being done. It is a short custom story, but I'm still going to be a perfectionist while designing it. When making this teaser, I wanted it to feel nostalgic for veteran Amnesia fans, so I took a bit of inspiration from Frictional Games' teaser for Amnesia - The Dark Descent. This trailer: Youtube.com
