To install STORM:
-----------------
1: Make sure that any other mods are uninstalled
2: Make a backup of the original lua.scd and z_lua_dlc1.scd in your game files!
(You will only need this when you want to uninstall STORM)
3: Unzip the downloaded file,
and extract the "Mod Files" folder to (for example) your desktop
(i recommend you do this if you want to reinstall STORM later,
so that you dont have to extract the files every time)
4: Place all the files within the "Mod Files" folder
(lua.scd, z_lua_dlc1.scd and zz_STORM.scd)
inside your steam/steamapps/common/supreme commander 2/gamedata folder.
(you will have to replace lua.scd and z_lua_dlc1.scd)
5: STORM is now ready to play!
(Make sure that the Infinite War DLC is enabled in the main menu!)
To uninstall STORM:
-------------------
1: remove the 4 files that were added
(lua.scd, z_lua_dlc1.scd and zz_STORM.scd)
2: place back the backups you made of the original lua.scd and z_lua_dlc1.scd files
what is the diference beetwen this and the other one?
there is a version history text file included in the download,
that lists the changes for each version (youll have to scroll down)
but ill give a brief overview here:
1: fixed a bug where UEF research stations caused desyncs
2: RP production is set back to how it was in 3.0
3: Megaliths get a DPS nerf (back to how it was in 3.0)
4: Recycler gets a range nerf (back to vanilla range)
5: PD Turrets/Loyalists/Shotjas get a range buff
This was only a small update,
mostly to fix another desync issue.
At the moment there should be no more desyncs,
although i havent tested every single unit..
And i added a few small balance changes, based on feedback.
