Synopsis
When this version of Narodnaya Solyanka (named "Narodnaya Solyanka 2016" by the developers) was released, the mod was made available only in the Russian language. I've been personally hand-translating the entire mod to English. This means that not only is it in English, but it's not some garbled machine-translated non-sense. A weapon pack, updated textures, updated shaders and my personal fixes are also included.
The foundation of the NS story-line has stayed the same, but things have definitely changed. Many of the quests will seem familiar to you if you've played NS before, but they will have a new twist to them giving a much needed breathe of fresh air into NS. Many of the NS maps have been recompiled in both their geometry, light maps, as well as the AI grids. This has fixed many of the bugs and crashes which plagued the older NS variants. There are now quest branches in the CoP maps, with the mod completing in the final map, Zaton. Finally, there are also two new maps added onto the normal NS map expansion: Darkscape (taken from Lost Alpha) & Mines (exclusively made for this mod).

what are the intended color settings for this mod? I wanted to start fresh so I wiped my saves and config files, launched the game, and when I changed my renderer, it increased the brightness, gamma, and contrast to 1.1, 1.3, and 1.3 respectively. with these values the game doesn't look dark and ugly at all. are these the correct values? this never happened in my first playthrough and they remained at their default values.
Whatever the default values are is what I play at. Also depends on whatever your monitor settings are. The best way is to delete your "user.ltx" file and let the game create a new one when you start it.

I'm looking for Fly and the crashed helicopter in the swamps. I've searched for quite a while, but to no avail. Does anyone know where it is, please.

If it is what I am thinking....You are lost. Fly is not in the swamp. Go back to the Forgotten Land. Go to the entrance of the fire cave. Check around there.
