Crusher - The Unreleased v. 2.0 mod for Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis

NOTE: So there's been a bit of confusion in the community as of late regarding the original Crusher mod following an upload by Dr._ReGen, intended to restore the original via a conversion from a Carnivores mod. They weren't aware I was still around online, but have since reached out to me and resolved the misunderstanding amicably with no hard feelings. Please do not attack them for this, and bear in mind the intentions were sound, if perhaps lacking slightly in prior research ;).

Anyway, that important information aside, I figured it was about time I made this accessible to everyone. No more incomplete, secondhand mods. You guys get the original.

So this is the version of the Crusher mod you guys never got. Meant as a birthday present by TTR back in the day, it is a slightly polished version of the original that for the longest time remained for personal use. There are only a few minor changes from the original: The colour scheme has been tweaked to be more accurate to Crusher's threat display patterns [the first version was made as a surprise for me, so it was quite literally the result of a textual game of telephone, with the modders using my old descriptions as a reference]. This also comes with the modified INIs from the original mod which make the T. rex tankier and harder hitting. In contrast with the version Dr._ReGen uploaded, which seems to have been slightly downscaled during the transition from JPOG to Carnivores, this one is still in the original 512x512 resolution. Not great by today's standards, but bear in mind this is a mod from 2007 :P.

The detail is still pretty good even today, which is a testament to TTR's skills even before he left the modding scene and started making actual games like the rockstar he is.

That said, the modding community and the tools available have advanced substantially since then, and I personally think the new mods made by SynchroLight and WaterWitch are fantastic. I'd personally recommend taking the INIs from this mod (assuming you're not already running a mod that affects those), and then pairing them with one of the Crusher mod versions on their page: Moddb.com

Thanks to everyone who has shown such love and enthusiasm for such an old mod. Thanks to Dr._ReGen for trying to bring the mod back to the community, to SynchroLight and WaterWitch for the remade and updated versions, and to you guys who decide to download this, or the aforementioned SynchroLight/WaterWitch mod. I hope this version meets expectations. And if not, I hope it at least serves as a memento from Ye Olde JPOG, and a reminder of how far we've come since then.
