Copy "q2r_hitmark.pak" to your "\steamapps\common\Quake 2\rerelease\baseq2" folder
Enable Hitmarks in the game settings: OPTIONS>GAMEPLAY>HIT MARKERS>YES
To remove mod, just delete "q2r_hitmark.pak"
