System requirements are incredibly low even with the presently very limited raytracing. First of what will be many made with both Gigapixel upscale and its detail texture generator Gigapixel AI Sharpen, which basically does the same thing as my multi pass approach and in some cases its better. Color corrected toward realism down to the textures which have been baked in instead of relying on reshade passes per frame. Unfortunately reshade turns out to not be fully acceptable to my standards as raytracing is mostly functional but somewhat broken. We must wait for new tool scheduled to launch to raytrace this game. I will add clouds and alternating weather and lighting conditions but wont spend too much time on this one in the interest of more important titles.

This mod is using DXT5 when in 99% of cases it would be more intelligent to use DXT1 but it also doesnt really matter because the nature the way this game renders at an extreme distance in the first place. I may or may not update it at a future date.

Part 2: Moddb.com

WARNING: LARGE ADDRESS AWARE REQUIRED AND INCLUDED.

Raytracing kind of sucks until the new tool comes along (you can only use it a specific distance away from ground) to make it better. I have put all the budget into the 3D render except a few key UI elements where it mattered. The game simply doesnt like huge texture files on the worst case scenario level where almost all assets are loaded and I have very efficiently left wiggle room for the future tool to work. If you dont use raytracing (its hard to recommend in this case) at 4k dont expect 8x MSAA to be stable since it eats a LOT of memory. 4x will work fine at that rez though.

Can't start the game if i copy these files into the folder. It crashes at 50-70% of the loading screen. Did I made something wrong, or is there anyone who has the same issue? :)a

You need to use large address aware which is included with part 2. The mod was engineered around the absolute maximum memory the game can possibly use before failure. Large address aware for modern x64 operating systems allows the game to use double the memory.

This mod will not work for x86 retro computers.

In the comments above you posted a link that goes to a Star Wars: Jedi Academy Mod called "Master Patch + Raytracing = 120+ Games". Not sure how this is connected with Stronghold 2?

Master Patch includes what you need (Early Access folder/Stronghold 2) or you can hunt down large address aware in google and patch the game. Otherwise its going to crash because the game can only use 2GBs of the address space without the large address aware patch.

The idea of 120+ games is you get a huge arsenal of upgrades for ancient retro and its just 2GBs. Its encouragement for people to go on Safari into the ancient forgotten world.
