In this modification I plan to rebuild the original mod.
In the beginning it will be very reminiscent of the original, but in the future I plan to give myself more freedom
I plan to expand old locations and add something new
New monsters were planned, but I'm not good at coding, so I'm putting this idea aside for now

All I can say is that this is amazing! While the original design of they hunger is fun, it certainly shows that it was a mod made soon after the SDK was released to the public. So many aspects of this mods improvements just make sense! I love the change of the volcano to a thermoelectric power plant or the redesign of downtown Rockwell. The fact that you redid the swamps section that was so forgettable in the first into a genuinely notable set piece with rundown houses on stilts shows how much dedication and love went into this remake. Phenomenal! +A! Reading over the previous comments, it seems like you are debating whether or not to continue with the next two chapters and I really hope you do so as you have shown some serious mapping talent. Also, I saw that the creator of TH: Relit reached out to collaborate and I think that would be cool. They Hunger always got on my nerves for its lack of period weapons and that mods seamless implementation of Day of Defeat GoldSrc weapons puts the cherry on top for a 50's B movie vibe. Nevertheless, outstanding work on this mod and good luck on future endeavors, whatever they may be!

The design changes really grew on me, especially that power plant situated in the volcano and the greatly expanded countryside!
Not to mention the bonus chapter giving purpose to all those monolithic ruins we now come across on the trip to Rockwell!

Выглядит интригующе, каким это предстанет в финале? Вообще, многие изменения в картах выглядят хорошо. Усложнение геометрии оригинальной как никак. Но некоторые места непонятны, например, с чего вдруг вулкан имеет какие-то механизмы? (Тем не менее выглядит тоже интересно, можно ли как-то приписать к сюжету? Я думаю не особо, хотя как знать... Лаборатории, имеющие отношение к тому что происходит во втором эпизоде, в текущем состоянии - выглядит очень круто! Хоть и не очень канонично)
Церковь какая-то ядрёная стала, может и сложнее чем раньше, но больше замок напоминает. Да и текстуры как-то на ней наложены не лучшим образом.
В целом удачи в разработке, выглядит интересно, думаю это тот опыт, который должен в себе содержать - rebuild проект they hunger'а на goldsrc'е. Не так нужны изменения в коде (и геймплей чем особо разбавишь, по-сути всегда одно и тоже - убивай да беги, иногда головоломки, но не сильно разнообразит), оригинал со своим паршивым освещением и не лучшей кодовой частью - играбелен, и более того, эстетичен.
А вот изменение карт реально интересная фича... И еще вопрос, будут ли опубликованы исходники, или мог бы я их получить чтобы затем эту кампанию перенести на Source? Мне просто интересно, хороший маппак из этого вышел бы... Удачи в разработке.
when the player exits the catacombs, there's a coffin in the middle of the area, it's transparent underneath, even tho it's solid if looking from the other side, valve pls fix
